Peter Bourjos (hamstring) will be placed on the 15-day disabled list. Bourjos strained his left hamstring Monday while legging out a sacrifice bunt in the 11th inning. It's too bad, as Bourjos has thrived since taking over the leadoff spot. Erick Aybar (heel) will be activated from the disabled list Tuesday in a corresponding roster move.

Peter Bourjos left Monday's game in the 11th inning with an apparent left hamstring injury. The Angels have little outfield depth after trading Vernon Wells. They can play J.B. Shuck in center or left, but their best offensive lineup would have Mark Trumbo in left and Hank Conger at DH. Bill Hall could be a candidate for a callup if Bourjos lands on the DL.

He possesses a dynamic combination of power and speed that makes him a very attractive target in the later rounds of fantasy drafts.

Bourjos is now batting .333 with a homer, three triples and eight RBI this spring. He's only a career .247/.301/.402 hitter but offers an intriguing mix of power and speed that makes him a late-round option in fantasy leagues.

After spending last season as a reserve outfielder, Bourjos is expected to serve as the club's starting center fielder in 2013.
