Goldschmidt recorded three hits in four at-bats and provided three RBI, one run and one stolen base in Wednesday's 8-5 loss to the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
It was a history-making day for the sizzling Goldschmidt, who has terrorized the Padres during the four-game series. He tied a Diamondbacks record by reaching base in nine consecutive plate appearances spanning the last two contests and became the third National League player since the beginning of the 2014 season to record multiple RBI in five consecutive starts. His .459 on-base percentage for the season ranks fifth in the majors among qualifying players.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with three RBI from two singles and a double in Wednesday's 8-5 loss to the Padres. He also scored once.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt has terrorized Padres pitching over the last two games for seven hits -- including two doubles and three home runs -- along with six RBI. A day off in the opening day of the series Monday, which was the first time the star first baseman has sat all season, seemed to have done wonders, as he's boosted his average 64 points with his efforts the last two nights.

Goldschmidt went 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt reached base in all five of his plate appearances on the evening, boosting his on-base percentage to a robust .441 for the season. The 29-year-old has been on fire over his last four starts, going 8-for-15 with two homers, four walks, six runs and nine RBI.

Goldschmidt is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Monday appears to be a rare off day for the Diamondbacks slugger, as the team will instead start Chris Herrmann at first base Monday. Assuming there is no underlying injury at play, Goldschmidt will almost certainly be back in the lineup on Tuesday.

Goldschmidt hit a two-run homer -- his third of the season -- in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt delivered a pair of RBI in all three games of the series, allowing him to double his existing output in that category for the season. The first baseman has underwhelmed with a .257 batting average thus far, but thanks to a 19.3 percent walk rate, he's been able to reach base in more than 40 percent of his plate appearances. So long as he continues to rack up the walks -- and avoid the injury bug -- Goldschmidt should be in store for a third consecutive 100-run campaign.

Goldschmidt went 0-for-2 with three walks and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
After supplying a disappointing 24 homers in 2016, Goldschmidt hasn't recovered in the power department through the first two weeks of the new season, with his slugging percentage down 40 points from last year. Fortunately for fantasy owners, Goldschmidt continues to display a patient eye at the plate and has amassed a .410 on-base percentage, which has provided him with plenty of running opportunities. He's already a perfect 4-for-4 on stolen-base attempts, putting him on pace for a second straight 30-plus-steal season.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with two RBI, two runs scored, two walks and a double during Friday's 7-3 win over the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt walked in his first couple of at-bats before ripping a two-run double to deep center in the fifth inning to give his team a lead it would not relinquish. The ever-productive first baseman is already off to a terrific start to the campaign and has five RBI on the back of a 1.200 OPS through five games.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a solo homer, a walk and two runs against the Giants on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
He's off to a typical start, going 3-for-7 over the season's first two games. After he saw his power drop a bit last year while his steals rose, look for Goldschmidt to see the reverse effect this year -- a return to 30 homers with his typical great batting average seems more than reasonable, but it's doubtful that he'll reach 30 steals again.

Goldschmidt has gone 9-for-26 (.346 average) with one homer and six RBI during Cactus League play.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt was also able to pick up 13 at-bats in his five appearances for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic, so despite the lack of Cactus League appearances, he should be fully geared up for Opening Day. The first baseman's slugging took an unexpected hit in 2016, but even if he fails to notice much of a rebound in homers during the upcoming campaign, he could see his run-producing opportunities increase with the Diamondbacks getting a healthy A.J. Pollock back at the top of the order after Pollock sat out much of last season with a fractured elbow.

Goldschmidt is looking forward to competing in the World Baseball Classic in March, the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll leave for Florida on March 6 and begin participating in Team USA workouts March 7. Goldschmidt is expected to anchor the Arizona lineup again in 2017, while his overall production may increase if A.J. Pollock and David Peralta can avoid the injuries that plagued them throughout 2016.
