In his major league debut Monday, Patrick Corbin allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings as part of a 9-5 win over the Marlins.
Corbin was a little shaky in his first inning of work, loading the bases on two hits allowed and a hit batsman, but he managed to escape by doubling up Omar Infante on a comebacker. He was very solid from there, though. All told, the 22-year-old southpaw gave up eight hits (including a two-run homer) and three walks while fanning six. While not as highly-touted as Trevor Bauer or Tyler Skaggs, Corbin is worth owning in NL-only leagues as long as he has a rotation spot. He'll get the Mets this weekend.
