Wright is a candidate to temporarily replace Chris Tillman (shoulder) in the team's rotation to open 2017, SB Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
Initial reports suggest Tillman won't be on the shelf long, but any opportunity is a good one for Wright, who struggled in 2016. The 27-year-old right-hander went 3-4 with a 5.79 ERA in 18 appearances (including 12 starts) during his sophomore season. He'll compete with Tyler Wilson and T.J. McFarland for the vacancy in the Orioles' rotation.

Wright was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright has yet to find his groove with the Orioles this season. After pitching in 16 games, 12 of which were starts, he's built a poor 5.89 ERA and 1.46 WHIP. However, he's had better results with Norfolk where he owns an ERA and WHIP of 3.07 and 1.13, respectively.

Wright was optioned back to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Wright's latest stint with the big league club was a brief one, lasting just three days. The right-hander will head back to Norfolk with the Orioles in need of outfield depth after Adam Jones suffered a strained hamstring Friday night. Taking Wright's spot on the roster will be Julio Borbon, who comes up from Double-A Bowie. Wright will likely return to Baltimore when rosters expand next month.

Wright was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
With Chris TIllman landing on the DL with shoulder bursitis Wednesday, the Orioles recalled a pitcher with starting experience in Wright. However, Wright had a difficult stint in the Orioles rotation earlier in the season, notching a 6.22 ERA with a 1.508 WHIP and a 6.5 K/9 across 12 starts. Wright could either join the rotation or Baltimore could plug Ubaldo Jimenez or Tyler Wilson into the rotation while Tillman is on the shelf.

Wright may be a candidate to join the rotation Tuesday, though it appears Tyler Wilson may have a leg up on him, MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright has not been successful at the MLB level this season, but he has a 2.10 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP in four minor league starts. However, he allowed six runs -- four earned -- on nine hits in five innings at Triple-A on Thursday. Tyler Wilson did not pitch much better on Friday, which leaves the door open for the possibility that Wright earns the promotion.

Wright was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk after Friday's game.
EDGE Analysis
Wright pitched 4.2 innings of relief Friday after Ubaldo Jimenez gave up five runs while recording just four outs in his start against the Angels. The Orioles will look to get a fresh arm up from Triple-A in advance of their final two games of the first half. Wright should get back in the mix, either in the rotation or out of the bullpen, after the All-Star break.

Wright has been promoted to the Orioles on Thursday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright could end up being the starter for Friday's game against the Angels, as it is between him and Ubaldo Jimenez for the start. After being sent down to Triple-A Norfolk in mid-June, Wright has posted a 0.87 ERA with a 0.92 WHIP during 20.2 innings of work.

Wright could draw the start in Friday's matchup with the Angels, Steve Melewski of MASNsports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on June 17. He could potentially be recalled if the Orioles opt to use him as a starter Friday over Ubaldo Jimenez. Wright gave up eight earned runs in 3.2 innings in his last outing for Baltimore.

Wright was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk following Friday's loss to the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Wright had a night to forget Friday, giving up eight earned runs during just 3.2 innings on the mound. That dismal outing pushed his ERA to 6.12 over 13 total appearances in 2016. Jason Garcia, Dylan Bundy, and Ubaldo Jimenez are all viable options to take over Wright's spot in the rotation, starting Wednesday against San Diego.

Manager Buck Showalter was noncommittal when asked whether or not Wright would make his next scheduled start Wednesday against the Padres after Wright gave up eight earned runs over just 3.2 innings in Friday's loss to the Blue Jays, Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright's ERA ballooned to 6.12 after giving up three home runs during Friday's nightmare start. If he is ultimately removed from the rotation, Jason Garcia, Dylan Bundy, or Ubaldo Jimenez are the top options to start Wednesday.
