Mike Trout had a nice day at the dish, going 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and two RBI in Friday's loss to the Royals.
While many have predicted significant regression from Trout in 2013, you wouldn't know it by how he's played this spring. He's now hitting .390/.519/.683 with a homer, nine RBI and four steals. Even with a drop in his power numbers and batting average from a season to go, Trout is a terrific bet to finish as one of the top overall fantasy performers in 2013. He's being drafted universally as a top-three pick at the moment, and for very good reason.

Mike Trout connected for his first home run of the spring in a win over the White Sox on Thursday.
Trout scored three of the team's 12 runs. The 21-year-old phenom led off the bottom of the first with a homer and settled for a double in his next at-bat after missing another homer by mere inches. He later reached on a force out and stole second base before coming around to score on a Howie Kendrick triple. It's hard to imagine that Trout could better than he was last season, but we'd be happy to be wrong on that.

Mike Trout went 3-for-3 with a stolen base and two runs scored Monday against the Athletics.
Much has been made about Trout's weight upon reporting to spring training, but we're not expecting it to be an issue. Even if there's some minor regression in batting average and power, the 21-year-old outfielder has the potential to be the most dynamic and valuable player in fantasy leagues this season.

Mike Trout reported to Angels' camp at 240 pounds.
Trout, who was listed at 210 pounds last season, gained 10-15 pounds over the winter. In the words of Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times, while the 21-year-old looked like an NFL running back last season, he now resembles a fullback. Still, we wouldn't hesitate grabbing him as one of the first players off the board in fantasy drafts this spring.

Mike Trout will not play for Team USA in the upcoming 2013 World Baseball Classic.
Trout informed the WBC committee that he wouldn't be participating before he was even asked. The 21-year-old outfielder will enjoy a regular offseason routine before looking to improve upon his amazing rookie campaign.

Mike Trout was named the 2012 AL Rookie of the Year by the Baseball Writers Association of America.
It was a unanimous choice. Trout batted .326/.399/.564 with 30 home runs, 83 RBI and 49 stolen bases in 139 games this summer for Anaheim while playing superb defense in center field. A's outfielder Yoenis Cespedes finished second in the voting and Rangers right-hander Yu Darvish came in third. Bryce Harper was awarded Rookie of the Year honors in the National League.

The Angels' Mike Trout, the Athletics' Yoenis Cespedes and the Rangers' Yu Darvish have been announced as finalists for the American League Rookie of the Year award.
Cespedes and Darvish both had fine rookie campaigns, but Trout is the obvious choice here. He's in the running for AL MVP after batting .326/.399/.564 with 30 home runs and 49 stolen bases. The winner will be announced on November 12.

Mike Trout went 4-for-5 with a triple, a double and three RBI as the Angels beat the Mariners 8-4 on Monday.
The Angels were eliminated from postseason contention anyway, courtesy of Oakland's win over Texas. Trout had some big hits against Felix Hernandez, pushing his average back up to .325. He has the best shot of anyone of preventing Miguel Cabrera from winning the Triple Crown. Cabrera has a .329 average after collecting four hits of his own tonight.

Mike Trout homered and tripled, leading the Angels to a critical 7-4 victory over the Rangers in Texas on Friday night.
He finished the night 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. Though he's been slumping a bit as of late, Trout is still having perhaps the finest rookie season in league history. Through 134 games, he's hitting an absurd .321/.391/.555 with 29 homers, 125 runs scored, 79 RBI and 47 steals. He's surely to wind up as a top-three draft pick in the majority of next season's fantasy drafts.

Mike Trout doubled and homered in Friday's win over the White Sox.
Trout doubled in the third before getting Brian Omogrosso for a solo blast in the seventh. The home run was his 28th of the season, while the run scored was his 120th. Only three other rookies in league history have crossed home plate at least 120 times. Hitting an absurd .326/.395/.560, Trout's race with Miguel Cabrera for the American League MVP should come down to the wire.
