Manager Brad Ausmus said Monday after the Angels' 9-6 win over the Astros that Trout (calf) could rejoin the lineup or be available off the bench for Tuesday's game, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
After injuring his right calf in Sunday's 6-3 win, Trout was sent in for an MRI, which confirmed he was dealing with a relatively minor strain. Though Trout was withheld from the lineup for the series opener versus Houston, he noted that he felt much better after receiving treatment to address the calf issue, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. Trout will likely test out his calf during baserunning and outfield drills early Tuesday before the Angels decide on his status for the second game of the series.

An MRI on Monday revealed that Trout is dealing with a strained right calf.
EDGE Analysis
This is positive news for the Angels, as Trout will be considered day-to-day moving forward after further testing ruled out a serious injury. At this point, it looks as though he'll avoid a trip to the injured list, though he may remain on the bench for the next few days as a precaution.

Trout (calf) isn't starting Monday's game against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels have yet to reveal the results of Trout's MRI, but he'll be held out of Monday's starting lineup after exiting Sunday's matchup with tightness in his right calf. Michael Hermosillo, who was called up from Triple-A Salt Lake earlier in the day, will draw the start in center field and bat ninth in Trout's place.

Trout will undergo an MRI on his right calf Monday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trout exited Sunday's matchup against Seattle due to right calf tightness, and even though the Angels don't believe the injury to be serious, they'll exercise caution by sending their star center fielder for further testing.

The injury that forced Trout from Sunday's game was right calf tightness, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports. He is day-to-day.
EDGE Analysis
We hesitate to speculate how serious this is until we hear the Angels discuss the injury. There wasn't a conspicuous play where it was obvious that Trout was injured, but calf injuries to other players have been longer lasting than initially diagnosed.

Trout left Sunday's game against the Mariners in the third inning due to right calf tightness.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels' telecast an inning after the fact didn't yet know why Trout was pulled from the game, though it was later revealed that his right calf was the issue. Andrelton Simmons replaced Trout in the game, with Kole Calhoun moving from right field to center field, and David Fletcher moving from shortstop to the outfield. Trout will be considered day-to-day moving forward.
