Trout is out of the lineup Wednesday versus the Rangers due to an injury on the bottom of his right foot, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trout's absence from the lineup was initially labeled as a scheduled off day, but it's actually to manage the nagging foot issue. The 28-year-old will now have two days in a row to rest up thanks to Thursday's scheduled off day. Brian Goodwin is starting in center field in his place.

Trout is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
This lineup was released on MLB.com and has not been confirmed by any of the team's beat writers, but we'll assume it's accurate. He got an off day on Aug. 18 as well, so perhaps the Angels are just going to give him occassional rest days now that they are eliminated from playoff contention. Brian Goodwin is starting in center field and leading off.

Trout went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over Texas on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Trout struck out in two of his first three plate appearances before crushing a 442-foot homer to left field in the eighth inning. The perennial MVP candidate has smashed 15 long balls since the All-Star break to take over the MLB lead with 43. He has scored 104 runs, driven in 100 and slashed .293/.436/.651 in 567 plate appearances.

Trout went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a triple in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Rangers in the first game of a doubleheader.
EDGE Analysis
The center fielder homered on Rangers starter Joe Palumbo's fifth pitch to give the Angels an early 2-0 lead that they would not relinquish. Trout has now exceeded his previous career high of 41 homers and is tied with the Dodgers' Cody Bellinger for the major-league lead. Trout also has a .300/.444/.671 slash line with 98 RBI and 101 runs scored in 120 games this season.

Trout is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
He'll check out of the starting nine for the first time since July 17, when he was tending to a right calf strain. Trout's absence this time around looks to be little more than a matter of maintenance amid the Angels' heavy schedule of 15 games in 14 days. Brian Goodwin will spell Trout in center field and serve as the Halos' leadoff man.

Trout went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-2 loss to the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Trout's 422-foot blast to center field off White Sox starter Lucas Giolito in the fifth inning cut the score to 3-2, but the Angels never scraped together a tying run. Trout's 41st homer of the year matches his previous career high from 2015 and keeps him tied with the Dodgers' Cody Bellinger for the major-league lead. The center field has added a .298/.444/.668 line with 94 RBI and 98 runs scored in 117 games this season.

Trout went 4-for-4 with a home run, three more runs scored and a walk in Thursday's 8-7 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
After hitting an infield single and scoring in the first inning, Trout launched a 419-foot solo homer off Reynaldo Lopez in the third. The All-Star outfielder ended up reaching in all five plate appearances en route to his 40th long ball of the season, netting the 40-homer mark for the second time in his career. Trout is now tied with Cody Bellinger for the major league lead in home runs this season and remains just one shy of tying his career-best of 41 set in 2015.

Trout went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and two runs in a 12-4 victory against the Red Sox on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old may be putting together his best statistical season, which is really saying something. Trout is just two homers shy of his previous career best and could easily reach 50 this season. He should also accumulate 100 runs and 100 RBI with ease before the end of August. Trout is batting .299 with a .673 slugging percentage, 39 home runs, 92 RBI, 91 runs and nine steals in 391 at-bats this season.

Trout went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a stolen base and a walk Monday night against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Trout cranked a solo homer to left field in the sixth inning, but it wasn't enough offense to lift his team to victory. The former MVP has now left the yard in three of his last five matchups, putting him two homers behind Christian Yelich, who leads the majors with 39 home runs.

Trout went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and a solo home run in Friday's 7-3 loss to Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
After going yard 13 times in 22 games during July, Trout stayed locked in to kick off August. He leads the American League in homers (36), RBI (87) and OPS (1.105), and with his 28th birthday coming up Wednesday, Trout seems well on his way to his third MVP award.
