Mike Moustakas had a big night at the plate in Saturday's loss to the Tigers, going 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI. Moustakas had an RBI single in the first inning, a towering solo home run off Doug Fister in the fifth, then added a sacrifice fly off Jose Valverde in the ninth that brought the Royals to within one at 9-8. He's enjoying an outstanding sophomore season to this point, hitting .272 with 15 homers and 47 RBI.

Mike Moustakas hit his first career homer against a lefty off the Rays' Matt Moore on Wednesday. Moustakas entered with 17 career homers, all against righties. He was hitting .208 with no homers in 154 at-bats versus southpaws.

Mike Moustakas had a terrific day at the plate on Saturday, going 3-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored and four RBI in a loss to the Cardinals. Moustakas did everything in his power to keep the Royals in the game, but the Cardinals offense was too much to overcome. His RBI single off Joe Kelly in the first inning got the Royals on the board. He then added a solo shot off Kelly in the third inning, cutting the deficit to 6-2. "Moose" added an RBI bounceout in the fifth, then an RBI single in the seventh inning which brought them to within 6-5. He's having an outstanding sophomore campaign, batting .272 with 10 homers and 33 RBI.

Mike Moustakas stayed hot Monday, belting a two-run homer in a win over the Yankees. He also drew a walk. Moustakas now has seven bombs on the year to go along with a .295 average and 19 RBI. He suffered his lumps last year and still doesn't have an ideal K/BB ratio, but Moose looks like he'll be a fantasy force this season.

Mike Moustakas hit his fifth home run of the season as the Royals defeated the Rangers 7-4 on Tuesday. He finished the night 1-for-2 with a walk, and also scored two runs. Moustakas is now hitting an impressive .310 on the season with five homers and 16 RBI, showing off the tremendous promise and offensive potential that he possesses. At just 23 years of age, he's an extremely special hitter and caries major upside in keeper leagues.

Mike Moustakas (hamstring) is back in Friday's lineup against the White Sox. Moustakas was scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to a sore hamstring. He's wearing a wrap to protect the hamstring, but he should be good to go moving forward. The 23-year-old is hitting .311/.366/.534 with four homers, 15 RBI and a .900 OPS over 112 plate appearances this season.

Mike Moustakas had another nice night at the plate against the Yankees on Thursday, going 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in the Royals 4-3 victory. Moustakas got the Royals on the board in the second inning with a solo shot off of David Phelps, his fourth of the season. He came through again in the fifth inning with a two-run single which would increase the lead to 4-1, and stand as the winning runs. He's now hitting .318 on the season with the two-hit night, and finally seems to be settling in as a fixture in the Royals lineup. He represents a solid third base or corner infield option in all leagues at this point.

Mike Moustakas launched his second home run of the season in the Royals loss to the Blue Jays on Friday. Moustakas finished the night 1-for-3, with that solo home run off of Kyle Drabek in the second inning. He's off to a slow start this season, but still possess enormous offensive potential.

Mike Moustakas is not in Monday's lineup against the Athletics. Moustakas, who is 1-for-11 with a homer to begin the year, will take a seat against the southpaw Tom Milone. Yuniesky Betancourt will make the start at third and bat sixth.

Mike Moustakas was scratched from Thursday's lineup due to a stomach virus. Not a good week for Moustakas, who was hit in the right knee by a pitch during Monday's game. However, he should be back to normal within the next couple of days.
