Moustakas went 2-for-4 at the plate in Tuesday's loss to the Yankees.
Moustakas, who currently leads AL third baseman in All-Star voting, provided half of the Royals' four total hits Tuesday night on his way to his sixth multi-hit game of the month. After a dreadfully slow start to 2014, the 26-year-old now owns a .867 OPS through 166 at-bats this season.

Moustakas (collarbone) will return to the lineup Sunday against the Cardinals, Matthew DeFranks of FOX Sports Kansas City reports.
Manager Ned Yost seemed to express skepticism that Moustakas would be ready to play Sunday after exiting Saturday's game with a left clavicle contusion, but appears the bruise won't impact his ability to hit or throw. Moustakas will slot back into his familiar No. 2 spot in the order, where he's helped take the Royals' offense up another level thanks to his .335 batting average and .388 on-base percentage on the season.

Royals' manager Ned Yost said Moustakas was "pretty sore" and may not play Sunday, according to Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star.
Moustakas was hit by a ground ball at third base and left the game with a bruised clavicle. Yost did not say anything definitive about Moustakas's availability, but if he does miss time, Christian Colon would be in position to fill his spot.

Moustakas left Saturday's game with a left clavicle contusion, Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star reports.
The injury occurred when a groundball at third base caught Moustakas near the collarbone area. Christian Colon came into the game and would be in line to start at the hot corner if Moustakas is forced to miss additional time.

Moustakas recorded a single, two doubles, and a triple in Friday's win to bump his average up to .333. After a tough year in 2014, Moustakas finally seems to be living up to the hype. He's slashing .333/.392/.496 with four home runs and 12 RBI.

Moustakas (personal) is back in the lineup Monday, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Moustakas missed the Royals' weekend series with Detroit due to a family emergency, but he rejoined the team Monday afternoon and is back in the lineup batting third and manning his usual third base spot. As a result, Christian Colon will return to a bench role.

Manager Ned Yost said that Moustakas (personal) would "probably" rejoin the Royals on Monday, Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star reports.
Moustakas missed the entire three-game weekend series against the Tigers to attend to a family emergency. Assuming he indeed returns to team Monday ahead of the series against the Rangers, Moustakas should immediately reclaim a starting role at third base to go along with the No. 2 spot in the Royals' lineup. The 26-year-old has opened the season on a tear, batting .327 with three homers, 10 RBI, and 21 runs scored.

Moustakas was placed on the bereavement list Friday to deal with a family emergency, the Kansas City Star's Andy McCullough reports.
He will be eligible to return Monday, and in the meantime the Royals will deploy Christian Colon or Orlando Calixte at third base. This is a bummer for his owners as Moustakas was one of the better surprises in baseball as he has finally figured out how to attack defensive shifts. However, hopefully he is able to return to the team well-rested early next week.

Moustakas went 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBI in the Royals' loss to Minnesota on Tuesday.
With the multi-hit effort, Moustakas is now hitting .327 with three homers on the season. He's also cut back on his strikeouts early on (4:5 BB:K over 55 at-bats), flashing a line that resembles that of an elite bat (.327/.413/.545) through 14 games. It will be interesting to see if he can maintain the improved strikeout rate, but for now he should continue to reap the benefits of hitting second in the order for manager Ned Yost.
