Moustakas went 1-for-4 with a solo homer Sunday against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
His second blast of the season got the Royals on the board in the sixth inning of a game they'd go on to win in extra innings. After going hitless in his first two games, he now has five hits over his last three contests, including homers in his last two.

Moustakas went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk in Friday's 4-3 victory over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old broke through with his first two hits of the season after an 0-for-8 start in his first two games. Moustakas is expected to fill an important offensive role near the top of the lineup after a breakout 2015 that saw him set career highs in virtually every offensive category.

Moustakas will bat second against the Mets on Tuesday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It appears as though the two-hole will be Moustakas' primary spot in the batting order, as expected. Moustakas went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Sunday's opener, but he reached on an error in the first inning and came around to score the Royals' first run of the season. The 27-year-old went 18-for-54 (.333 average) with five doubles, three home runs and a 3:7 BB:K during Cactus League play.

Moustakas is the likely candidate to hit second in the Royals' lineup, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moustakas also started last season in the two-hole, but he promptly tumbled down the lineup when the Royals acquired Ben Zobrist. Alex Gordon has an argument for hitting second this year thanks to a higher on-base percentage, but it looks like the third baseman's stronger power stats and still-respectable OBP will give him an edge. If he does hold on to that spot, he'll continue hitting ahead of Lorenzo Cain, Eric Hosmer, and Kendrys Morales, which can do good things to a player's run output.

Moustakas agreed to a two-year, $14.3 million contract with the Royals on Thursday to avoid arbitration, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
An impressive 2015 campaign from the 26-year-old Moustakas earned him a significant pay bump for the final two years of arbitration. After setting career highs in most offensive categories, his place in the batting order remains a bit unclear heading into the 2016 season. He began 2015 batting second in the order, but the mid-season acquisition of Ben Zobrist resulted in Moustakas being pushed down to sixth. With Zobrist no longer in the picture, it wouldn't be surprising he hits near the top again.

Moustakas went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in a win over the White Sox on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The two-hit effort brought Moustakas to a modest four-game hit streak and he appears to be getting hot at the right time. Over his last seven games, Moustakas has 10 hits, including two home runs and four doubles.

Moustakas went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 5-3 win over the White Sox on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The home run came off lefty Jose Quintana and that's a feat in itself for the moose. That's been the big change for Moustakas this season, as he has annually struggled against southpaws. This year however, he is batting .264 against lefties with a .456 SLG.

Moustakas is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
The Royals are sitting most of their regulars, as is common the day after a division-clinching win. Cheslor Cuthbert is slated to man third base and bat sixth against right-hander Carlos Carrasco.

Moustakas found his way on base all five times up Thursday, going 3-for-3 with a double, a homer, two walks, three RBI and two runs against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Moustakas has been demonstrating by far the best on-base skills of his career this season, as his .347 OBP is nearly 50 full points higher than any of his previous fill-season marks. The power production's been inconsistent, but hey, the guy's got 21 homers and 76 RBI; that'll play.

Moustakas was 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
The third baseman has now hit safely in five of the last six games and Saturday marked his third multi-hit outing of September. Saturday's round-tripper also tied Moustakas' career-high in homers, which he set back in 2012.
