Leake (7-3) got the win Tuesday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out four over six innings against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
The only mark on his ledger was a solo home run to Mike Trout in the fifth inning, but Leake was otherwise in command. Following a rocky opening month, the 30-year-old has settled down to the tune of a 2.87 ERA and six quality starts in eight outings since the start of May. He's not particularly overpowering and won't likely be a strong source of strikeouts (5.6 K/9), but the opportunities for wins should continue to be there the way he's been pitching of late. He'll look to keep it rolling Sunday against the Red Sox.

Leake (6-3) allowed two earned runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out three across eight innings to earn the win Thursday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
With this effort, Leake has now put together four consecutive starts in which he has allowed two or fewer earned runs and pitched at least 6.2 innings. He has relied on generating groundballs in that stretch, a trend that continued Thursday as 13 of the 21 balls he allowed in play remained on the ground. While his overall numbers remain unimpressive, Leake has bounced back from posting a 6.48 ERA over his first six starts of the season to record a 3.22 ERA across his last six starts.

Leake didn't factor into the decision on Friday, giving up two earned runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none as the Mariners eventually pulled off a 4-3 victory in extra innings.
EDGE Analysis
This was the third consecutive sharp outing for the 30-year-old righty, who has given up just four earned runs over his last 21.2 innings over that time to bring his ERA down from 6.00 to 4.71 over 72.2 innings. The eight strikeouts on Friday were also a season high. Leake will try to keep up the positive momentum in his next start, which will see him take on this same Rays team in a road tilt next Thursday.

Leake allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits while striking out three over 6.2 innings in Tuesday's win over the Athletics. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Leake wasn't overly deceptive, inducing just three swings-and-misses and striking out three or fewer for the fourth time this season. He was still able to turn in just his second quality start in his last seven outings, allowing fewer than two earned runs for the first time all year. The 30-year-old still has an inflated 5.46 ERA and 1.46 WHIP, and with low strikeout numbers (5.8 K/9), it'll be tough to place much confidence in him on a regular basis. Leake is slated to take on the Twins on Sunday next time out.

Leake allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits in 5.1 innings Tuesday, striking out two and walking none in a no-decision against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
This was the third start in which Leake has allowed five or more earned runs, and his ERA now stands at an even 6.00. The 30-year-old has thrown three quality starts, but his .301 batting average against and 1.53 WHIP make him a hard person to trust. His next start will be against the Tigers at home.

Leake (4-3) allowed two earned runs on six hits while walking one and striking out six across seven innings to earn the win Thursday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Leake started the game shakily, allowing two doubles and a two-run home run in his first two innings of work. However, he allowed only four more baserunners across his next five innings of work. Given a large lead, he was able to pound the strike zone, starting 22 of the 26 batters he faced with a strike and finding the zone with 76 of his 101 pitches. Leake is unspectacular due to low strikeout numbers, but has pitched at least six innings in five of his eight starts and allowed three or fewer earned runs in an equal number of starts.

Leake (3-3) took the loss against the Angels on Friday, giving up three earned runs on seven hits over 5.1 innings, striking out four and walking four as the Mariners eventually fell 5-0.
EDGE Analysis
Leake was able to limit the damage against the Angels to the three earned runs but he wasn't especially impressive in doing so, walking as many batters as he struck out and allowing seven hits while getting handed his third defeat of the year. He's put up a couple of solid outings this season, however, his overall body of work so far that includes a 6.28 ERA and a 1.60 WHIP over 38.2 innings suggests there are probably better alternatives out there for those in need of streaming options.

Leake (2-2) allowed eight runs on 12 hits with no walks across 3.1 innings while suffering the loss Monday against the White Sox. He recorded one strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Leake was battered from the start in this one, giving up hits to the first seven batters he faced as the hosts scored five runs in the first inning. He gave up a couple of home runs after that point before his removal with one out in the fourth. Leake pitched quite well over his first three starts of the season, but the wheels have fallen off over the last two, when he's allowed 13 earned runs across just 9.1 innings in a pair of losses. He will take a bloated 6.59 ERA and a 1.61 WHIP into a difficult matchup with the Indians this weekend.

Leake (2-1) allowed five runs on seven hits and a walk despite seven strikeouts over six innings to take the loss Wednesday to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Of the seven hits Leake served up Wednesday, six went for doubles, allowing the Astros to hang a crooked number on him despite the fact he walked just one batter. Leake's ERA sits at 4.50 as he continues to fill his typical role as a back-end innings eater -- a role, alas, that rarely offers much fantasy value.

Leake (2-0) had to settle for a no-decision in Friday's 7-4 win over the A's, giving up three runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Home runs by Khris Davis and Matt Chapman accounted for all the scoring off Leake, who threw 56 of 94 pitches for strikes while recording his second quality start in three outings. The veteran will take a 3.50 ERA into his next start Wednesday at home against the Astros.
