Conforto is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN.com.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto is just 4-for-43 (.093) against left-handers this season, so he will be held out of Wednesday's lineup with southpaw Danny Duffy on the mound for the Royals. Matt Reynolds will get the start in left field in Conforto's place.

Despite his recent struggles, Conforto appears likely to remain with the big league club, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto, who hit just .169 in May and is hitting only .137 so far in June, was discussed previously by Terry Collins as a possible demotion candidate for the struggling Mets. However, it looks like Kevin Plawecki might end up being the odd man out as Travis D'Arnaud returns to the Mets' roster on Tuesday, leaving Rene Rivera as the primary backup catching option.

Manager Terry Collins indicated a big shakeup could be forthcoming for the Mets, which could include demoting Conforto to the minors, ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto is mired in a major slump, as he is just 8-for-his-last 67 at the plate. Saturday, Matt Reynolds pinch-hit for him against a lefty while he was dropped to the seventh spot in the lineup Sunday. If Conforto is going to sit, he might benefit from some time at Triple-A after skipping that level last season when he jumped from Double-A Binghamton to the majors.

Conforto returned from a brief absence due to a wrist injury Thursday and went 2-for-4 with a solo homer against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
The struggle's been real for Conforto lately, as he followed an electric April with a lethargic May that's lingered into this month, but perhaps nearly a week out of the starting lineup allowed him to straighten some things out. It's worth monitoring him for continued progress Friday, when the Mets face the Braves and struggling rookie righty John Gant.

Conforto is back in the lineup, playing left field and batting fifth Thursday against Pittsburgh, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto is making his return to the lineup after receiving a cortisone shot Tuesday to treat strained cartilage in his left wrist. Anything can help the 23-year-old at this point as he's slashing .108/.146/.216 in June and has gone hitless in six of his last 10 starts.

Conforto received a cortisone shot in his left wrist Tuesday and he is optimistic about a return to the lineup by the end of the week, James Wagner of the New York Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto underwent the cortisone shot Tuesday to treat strained cartilage in his left wrist. With that, he'll be sidelined for presumably a few more days to allow the shot to take its effect on his wrist. The Mets will host the Braves for a series over the weekend, which seems like the most realistic time frame for Conforto to return. Alejandro De Aza figures to continue starting in left field while Conforto is sidelined.

Conforto (wrist) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto has been dealing with some wrist soreness, and he underwent an examination on Monday. There have been no updates released on his timetable for return, but it's likely that something will be released soon. The Mets will go with Alejandro De Aza to lead off and start in left field in Conforto's place.

Conforto will undergo an examination on his left wrist in New York on Monday, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto was held out of the lineup Sunday, and although he was used as a pinch-hitter, the outfielder struck out on just three pitches. Per Marc Carig of Newsday, he's been dealing with this tenderness since the series with Pittsburgh earlier in the week, but it doesn't necessarily bother him when he swings. In any case, the Mets are optimistic they can get some answers following Monday's examination.

Conforto, who is out of Sunday's lineup, is dealing with an apparent wrist issue, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto has been slumping heavily of late, but it appears that this can at least be partially explained by some wrist discomfort. With a team day off Monday, manager Terry Collins is resting several of his regulars, which includes giving Conforto is second game off in three days in favor of Alejandro De Aza. The team doesn't appear overly concerned about the injury, but in any case, check back on Conforto's status before putting together Tuesday's lineups.

Conforto is out of the lineup Sunday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto has been in the midst of a deep slump, and Sunday will be the second instance in three games that manager Terry Collins has awarded Alejandro De Aza the start in left field. De Aza is only 3-for-18 with eight strikeouts since June 1, but Conforto has been even worse of late, owning a .529 OPS since May 1. The two left-handers will continue to battle for playing time for the foreseeable future. According to Newsday's Marc Carig, a "tender" wrist may also be partially responsible for Conforto's absence, though the team has yet to confirm this assertion.
