Schuemann went 0-for-1 with three walks and a run in a win over the Blue Jays on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie displayed impressive plate discipline out of the bottom of the order, pushing his season on-base percentage to .344 with his first multi-walk tally since July 25. Schuemann has now reached safely in six straight starts, a stretch where he boasts a .450 OBP across 20 plate appearances.

Schuemann is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
For the first time since June 30, Schuemann will exit the starting nine and give way at shortstop to Darell Hernaiz, who was recently reinstated from the injured list. Schuemann took over as the Athletics' everyday shortstop shortly after Hernaiz was placed on the IL in mid-May, and though prospect Jacob Wilson was called up from Triple-A Las Vegas on July 19 and was expected to threaten Schuemann's standing atop the depth chart, Wilson strained his hamstring in his MLB debut and went on the IL two days later. While the Athletics have continued to deploy Schuemann near the bottom of the batting order, he's been able to maintain a regular role by getting on base at a .335 clip this season and providing a dash of speed (11 steals in 12 attempts).

Schuemann went 1-for-4 with a two-run single in a win over the White Sox on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie snapped a 1-1 tie in the fourth with his single, which brought home JJ Bleday and Zack Gelof to give the Athletics a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Prior to Monday, Schuemann had gone 11 games without an RBI, a stretch during which he'd hit just .200 overall and a miserable .077 with runners on base. Despite those forgettable numbers, Schuemann may be in the early stages of a resurgence, now having hit safely in three of his past four games.

Schuemann went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Schuemann went hitless for a second straight day but was able to swipe base No. 11 when he reached with a walk in the fourth. If he had enough plate appearances to qualify, Schuemann would lead the A's in walk rate at 11.7 percent, as he's shown an exceptionally patient eye at the plate as a rookie. The 27-year-old is slashing .256/.346/.364 with six homers, 26 RBI, 45 runs and a 33:76 BB:K in 292 plate appearances.

Schuemann went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run in a win over the Angels on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Several other teammates delivered bigger hits, but Schuemann was productive from the bottom of the order. The rookie now has authored five multi-hit efforts in the last 12 games, and he's reached safely in 11 of those contests on his way to a blistering .400 batting average and 1.003 OPS over his last 46 plate appearances.

Schuemann went 2-for-3 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the Astros on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Schuemann closed out the scoring on the night in the fourth inning with his timely knock, which plated Zack Gelof. The rookie has emerged from the All-Star break with a sizzling bat, going 6-for-11 with two doubles, a home run, six RBI, three walks and seven runs over his first four games. However, he's been consistently delivering at the plate for the majority of July, a month in which he's mustered a .396 average, 1.133 OPS, five extra-base hits and 11 RBI across 60 plate appearances.

Schuemann went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, four total RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 13-3 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Schuemann got the start at third base rather than shortstop, but he was quickly moved back to his most common position after Jacob Wilson suffered a hamstring strain early in the game. It appeared Wilson's promotion from Triple-A Las Vegas could have a ripple effect on the Athletics' infield, but if the injury lands him on the injured list, Schuemann would figure to once again have a clear path to an everyday role. For the season, Schuemann is slashing .255/.345/.373 with six home runs, eight doubles, 24 RBI, 39 runs scored and nine stolen bases over 75 contests, though he's been sharper lately by hitting .390 (16-for-41) in July.

Schuemann went 2-for-4 with a walk and three runs in a win over the Phillies on Sunday. He was also caught stealing on his only attempt.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie's productive line looks deceptively tame next to those of some of his teammates, considering three Athletics players slugged multiple home runs and Zack Gelof belted a grand slam. However, Schuemann was a very effective table-setting presence out of the bottom of the order, crossing the plate on each of Lawrence Butler's trio of homers. The All-Star break arguably comes at an inopportune time for Schuemann, who heads into the pause in play hitting .357 (10-for-28) over his last eight games while mustering a trio of multi-hit efforts in that span.

Schuemann went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and two runs in a win over the Red Sox on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Schuemann made plenty of noise out of the bottom of the order, generating one of two multi-hit efforts for the Athletics on the night while recording a steal for the second straight game. The rookie shortstop also has an eight-game on-base streak, and he's now posted multi-hit tallies twice in the last four contests.

Schuemann went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a walk in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie extended his on-base streak to seven games, a stretch during which he's cobbled together an impressive .350 average and 1.130 OPS, along with three of his eight steals on the season. Schuemann has a modest four-game hitting streak going as well, pushing his improving season slash line to .236/.329/.347 across 234 plate appearances.
