Harvey (shoulder) continues to throw from flat ground without any issues and is hoping to get back on a mound next week, Justin Tasch of The New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets will take Harvey's recovery very slowly as he works to build up the muscles in his throwing shoulder again, so there's no guarantee he'll be back in the majors in 2017, but it's been so far so good in his latest rehab.

Harvey (shoulder) played catch with fellow rehabbing starter Noah Syndergaard on Monday, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, "The Dark Knight" will begin his throwing program with the hope of returning to action this season. No timetable for his return has been given by the team, although given that the muscles behind his right shoulder are smaller than those on the left, there's still a chance he could miss the rest of the season.

Harvey, sidelined since June 15 with a stress injury of the scapula bone in his right shoulder, will begin his own throwing program after the All-Star break, though there is no timetable for his possible return this season, Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pitching coach Dan Warthen said that the procedure Harvey underwent last year to correct thoracic outlet syndrome left him with weakness in the muscles behind his throwing shoulder, which led to problems as he tried to pitch during the first half. It wasn't determined until after Harvey went on the disabled list that the muscles behind his right shoulder were roughly half the size of those on his left, which is why his velocity dropped after the first inning of his starts. Harvey has been building up those muscles and will take the next step in his rehab by throwing, though it's still possible he misses the rest of the season.

Harvey (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The embattled starter was examined by doctors after experiencing extreme arm fatigue, and after being diagnosed with a stress injury of the scapula bone in his right shoulder, he'll be sidelined for multiple weeks. Harvey was also sidelined for a number of weeks last season after being treated for thoracic outlet syndrome, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see the Mets take a cautious approach in his rehab process, especially given the injury situation plaguing New York at the moment. Matt Reynolds and Brandon Nimmo were recalled as corresponding moves for Harvey and Juan Lagares (thumb) landing on the DL, but look for Tyler Pill or Rafael Montero to fill the void in the Mets' rotation until Harvey is back in action.

Harvey was diagnosed with a stress injury to the scapula bone in his right shoulder, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is another tough break for Harvey, who has had past seasons derailed due to multiple different injuries; he's expected to be sidelined several weeks with this most recent ailment. The 28-year-old received a PRP injection Thursday and will wait until he is completely pain free before resuming a throwing program. The Mets were working with a six-man rotation recently, so it's possible they just go to a five-man rotation until Harvey returns.

Harvey said his arm felt tired and fatigued during his outing against the Cubs on Wednesday, David Lennon of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harvey was removed from Wednesday's game after tossing just 58 pitches, and this would explain why. "My arm was not working at all," the 28-year-old said after his outing, in which he allowed four runs on three homers in just four innings. His fastball velocity was also noticeably down, sitting in the high-80s and low-90s, which Harvey said was the slowest he's thrown since high school. He's scheduled to see a doctor Thursday, at which point more should be known about his condition.

Harvey did not allow a run over five innings of work Friday against the Braves, giving up four hits and two walks while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
A high pitch count forced Harvey out of the game early, but he threw 68 of his 104 pitches for strikes. The Braves battled him early and often, though, an his inability to put hitters away early in the count cost him a longer outing. However, it was a nice bounce back effort from his previous start against Pittsburgh, when he allowed six runs over four innings.

Harvey (4-3) allowed one run on six hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings in Sunday's win over the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
He threw 67 of 102 pitches for strikes, and while it wasn't the dominant Harvey of a few years ago it was still his first quality starts in his last six trips to the mound. The 28-year-old will try to build on that momentum in his next outing Friday at home in a rematch with Pittsburgh.

Harvey (3-3) held San Diego to two runs on three hits and four walks over five innings in Tuesday's win. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
While he did a decent job keeping the Padres off the board, this was hardly an improvement in terms of efficiency for Harvey, who needed 103 pitches to get through five frames. He's now walked four-plus batters in four consecutive starts, and Harvey hasn't finished six innings since April 21. While he looks to be settling down to some degree, Harvey still has a ways to go before he can be started without reservations in fantasy.

Harvey gave up three runs on six hits and four walks over 5.1 innings in Wednesday's extra-inning loss to Arizona. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
While this was an improvement over his prior three starts -- during which he went 0-3 while giving up 17 runs in 14.2 innings -- it's hard to paint it as a positive outing for Harvey. Sure, pitching in Arizona is no easy task, but more is expected of Harvey; after all, he's only 28 years old and was among baseball's best pitchers just two years ago. His velocity's still there, but his command and control are all over the place, which makes him hard to trust right now. With a 6.15 K/9 and 4.37 BB/9, Harvey has fallen way short of fantasy owners' expectations and should be deployed with caution accordingly.
