Harvey was diagnosed with a stress injury to the scapula bone in his right shoulder, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is another tough break for Harvey, who has had past seasons derailed due to multiple different injuries; he's expected to be sidelined several weeks with this most recent ailment. The 28-year-old received a PRP injection Thursday and will wait until he is completely pain free before resuming a throwing program. The Mets were working with a six-man rotation recently, so it's possible they just go to a five-man rotation until Harvey returns.
