Matt Harrison continued his terrific work Thursday, holding the Twins to one run on eight hits and a walk over 7 1/3 innings in a 4-1 win. Harrison moved to 3-0 in July to go along with a 2.04 ERA and 26/3 K/BB ratio. His ERA is now back below 3.00 at 2.94, as the tall left-hander has been one of the most surprising pitchers in the American League this season. He's also had just three non-quality starts since May 6. Harrison will try to keep it going next week against the Rays.

Matt Harrison limited the Mariners to one run over 7 2/3 innings Sunday to earn his eighth win of the season. The Rangers have won 11 in a row and the Mariners managed just two runs against them in this four-game series. Harrison, meanwhile, has had the pleasure of facing the Mariners, Athletics, Orioles, Astros and Mets in his last five starts. He'll be just an average fantasy play against the more powerful Blue Jays next time out.

Matt Harrison controlled the light-hitting A's on Sunday afternoon, allowing just six hits in 7 2/3 scoreless innings of Texas' 2-0 win at home. He struck out seven while issuing only one free pass. Today was just Harrison's second scoreless outing in 17 starts this season. Now 7-7, he enters the All-Star break with a 3.04 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 66/37 K/BB ratio.

Matt Harrison was touched up for five runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings in Thursday's loss to the Astros. Carlos Lee took Harrison deep for a solo shot in the fifth, and things fell apart in the sixth, as he allowed three hits, a walk, hit a batter and gave up four runs. It's a departure from what we've seen of Harrison lately, as he had given up just one earned run in each of his last three outings. The five earned runs are the second most he's permitted this season, as he watched his ERA rise up to 3.30. Harrison will try to rebound next week against the Orioles.
