Mat Latos limped to the clubhouse Thursday after being hit by a Bronson Arroyo batting practice foul ball on his right lower leg. "There was a noticeable welt," observes MLB.com's Mark Sheldon. Latos is scheduled to start on Saturday against Zack Greinke and the Dodgers. His status isn't likely to be affected, but Cincinnati will carefully examine the ankle before making an announcement. Sheldon later tweeted that Latos had returned to the field and "doesn't appear to be limping much anymore."

He'll try to bounce back next week when he faces the Cardinals again (but this time at home).
