Machado (wrist) is unsure when he'll be ready to return to the lineup, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although Machado's X-rays came back negative, his strained wrist is still giving him trouble and he told reporters that the soreness increased after Wednesday's game. He sat out of Thursday's makeup game against the Nationals, and his comments after the game make it sound as though another absence for Friday's series opener in New York is at least possible. More updates are sure to follow throughout the day Friday, but if Machado is given another day off to rest his wrist, Chris Davis could make another start at third base.

Machado (wrist) is not in the lineup Thursday against the Nationals, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was unlikely that the stud third baseman would play Thursday evening after he was diagnosed with a strained wrist earlier in the day, but this makes it official. Macahdo is currently wearing a soft cast on his ailing wrist, so he should be considered day-to-day for the time being. Chris Davis will move to the hot corner to fill in for him.

Machado (wrist) has a strained left wrist following the results of his MRI, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The initial reports from Machado's MRI came back clean, but it now appears as though the third baseman has suffered a strained wrist, in addition to bruising on his hand. Machado will still be considered day-to-day at the moment, but it seems unlikely that he will be listed in the lineup for Thursday's matchup with the Nats.

The MRI on Machado's left wrist came back without any sign of damage, Buster Olney of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Machado also got an X-ray following his removal from Wednesday's game with left wrist soreness, which came back negative. In addition to the good news from his MRI, the 24-year-old could play in Thursday's game against Washington. He will be considered day-to-day for now, but it would not be a surprise if Baltimore gave him a day off as a precaution.

X-rays on Machado's left wrist came back negative, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Machado was forced out of Wednesday's game after Andrew McCutchen spiked him while sliding into third base. Although it appears he avoided any serious injury, he'll likely get an MRI on Thursday to confirm everything is clear. He should be considered day-to-day until the Orioles update his status.

Machado was removed early from Wednesday's game with left wrist soreness.
EDGE Analysis
Machado was spiked in the wrist by Andrew McCutchen while attempting put a tag down on him, and although he was able to finish the inning in the field, Ruben Tejada pinch hit for him in the bottom half of the inning. It's possible Machado's removal was precautionary, but more should be known once the Orioles update his status.

Machado went 2-for-3 (two doubles) with a walk, one run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to Boston.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a rough start to 2017 for Machado, but the weekend series against Boston offered reason for optimism. He went 6-for-15 with two homers and a pair of doubles. Furthermore, after failing to steal a single base last season, his Sunday swipe puts him on pace to near double-digits in that category this year.

Machado went 1-for-4 with a solo homer Friday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Machado blasted his 11th homer of the campaign to extend a first-inning lead on the way to the Orioles notching a home victory. He left the yard for just the second time since May 11, and his nightmare season continues, as he's posting an anemic .707 OPS.

Machado went 2-for-4 with two runs during Thursday's win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
After registering just five multi-hit showings through 27 May games (.191/.238/.391 slash line), it was encouraging to see Machado kick-start June with two hits and two runs. The 24-year-old star has underachieved in 2017, but his pedigree and track record are reasons to stay patient. After all, Machado is still on pace for a third consecutive 30-home run season.

Machado went 2-for-4 and scored twice in Thursday's win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
The All-Star entered the game stuck in a miserable 0-for-18 slump, but broke through with a first-inning single. Still, Machado's .211/.289/.407 slash line through 51 games represents career-worst numbers across the board. Most would assume the slugger will turn things around, but the sample size (204 at-bats) is no longer small, and owners have a right to be biting their finger nails as June begins.
