Machado went 2-for-5 with a grand slam in Monday's crushing 11-3 win over Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
It was Machado's second grand slam over his last eight games, and his fifth home run in August. Monday marked the slugger's fourth straight multi-hit effort, a stretch in which Machado is 9-for-19 with seven RBI and four runs. The 25-year-old's recent run has him on pace to surpass 30 homers for the third consecutive campaign.

Machado went 1-for-4 with a grand slam during Monday's win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Machado has caught fire of late with three home runs, six doubles, 12 RBI and eight runs through his past nine games. The heater has been long overdue, as his .256/.318/.464 slash line is still well below the standard he set over the previous two years. A two-month surge could go a long way in closing the gap, though.

Machado went 4-for-5 with a home run, five RBI and two runs in Sunday's win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Machado logged a season-high five RBI in his third four-hit game of the season. The third baseman hit .230 with a .741 OPS during the first half, but has turned it around in a big way since. Over 91 at-bats since the All Star break, Machado is slashing .352/.398/.505 with 10 extra-base hits, 14 RBI and 15 runs.

Machado went 2-for-4 with a solo homer Friday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Machado launched his 19th homer of the campaign to break open a 1-1 tie in the third inning of the game the Orioles would go on to lose. Although his season has been a disappointment for those who drafted him, despite this being his first homer since July 7, at least he's batting over .300 since the end of June to provide a bit of a silver lining.

Machado went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and two runs scored in Sunday's 10-6 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Machado entered this one in the midst of a major power slump, with just one extra-base hit in the past 14 games. He still hasn't launched a homer since hitting two back on July 7, but this was a major step in the right direction. Machado's .243/.311/.435 line has to be viewed as a massive disappointment after he posted an OPS over .860 in each of the previous two seasons.

Machado went 2-for-5 and scored twice in Friday's loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Machado's sixth multi-hit game in his last 11 contests pushed his average up to .239, its highest point since early April. He's been on fire this month, going 23-for-69 (.333) with three home runs, 11 RBI and 11 runs. It's safe to say the third baseman's first-half woes are now in the rearview mirror.

Manager Buck Showalter said he wants to keep Machado hitting second in the batting order, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The third baseman spent most of the first half (238 at-bats) hitting third, but batted just .214 with a .704 OPS from there. Since moving to the two-hole, Machado has hit .281 with an .861 OPS over 96 at-bats. Although RBI opportunities might drop off a bit, hitting second should provide him with more run-scoring chances, and he certainly seems more productive hitting second -- which is the most important thing.

Machado hit a career-low .230 while owning a career-high 19.7 strikeout rate in 330 at-bats prior to the All-Star break.
EDGE Analysis
The slugging third baseman missed out on the Midsummer Classic for the first time in three seasons after struggling for much of the first half. In fairness, Machado has hit the ball well, but had no luck finding the holes in the defense -- his .239 BABIP is well off his .302 career clip. Overall, the 24-year-old displayed good plate discipline and power (.215 ISO) through the first half, and all signs point to Machado having better luck after the break.

Machado filled the stat sheet Saturday in Minnesota, going 2-for-4 with his 17th double of the year, an RBI, two runs and a walk.
EDGE Analysis
Mike Petriello of MLB.com reports that Machado has ranked among the top three players in hard-hit balls practically all season. Unfortunately, the third baseman went quite a while without putting a dent in the box score despite consistently hammering baseballs. However, slowly but surely things are starting to brighten up for Machado as he's hit safely in seven of eight July games while pounding out three home runs, eight RBI and five runs in the process.

Machado went 4-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
He took Minnesota rookie Felix Jorge deep twice in the first three innings, helping to stake Baltimore to a 6-0 lead that Kevin Gausman and the bullpen couldn't hold. It's been a disappointing first half for Machado in terms of his batting average, but his 18 homers and 45 RBI through 81 games is right in line with expectations.
