Gore (4-5) took the loss Monday against the Mets, allowing six earned runs on seven hits and four walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Gore loaded the bases with one out in the fifth inning before departing, unfortunately reliever Dylan Floro allowed all three runners to score, adding three earned runs to Gore's stat line. Monday's outing was very uncharacteristic for the southpaw, who recorded a season-low two strikeouts and allowed more than two earned runs for the first time since April 19. After tonight's rough outing, the 25-year-old sports a 3.57 ERA, a 1.37 WHIP and 74 strikeouts in 63 innings pitched. Gore will look to rebound in his next start, tentatively scheduled for this weekend versus Atlanta.

Gore (4-4) earned the win over Atlanta on Wednesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and no walks while striking out 10 batters over 5.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gore flustered Atlanta throughout the outing, and his 10 strikeouts marked his second-highest total of the season. The southpaw couldn't extend a three-game quality-start streak, but he did push his stretch of appearances allowing two or fewer earned runs to seven. Gore is in the midst of a breakout campaign, posting a 2.91 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 72:17 K:BB through 58.2 innings.

Gore (3-4) earned the win Friday over Seattle, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over seven innings. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing a home run to J.P. Crawford to lead off the game, Gore rebounded to blank the Mariners over his final six frames, giving up just three more hits. It's the third straight quality start for Gore and the first time he's made it through seven innings this season. The 25-year-old southpaw lowered his ERA to 3.04 with a 1.29 WHIP and 62:17 K:BB over 53.1 innings. Gore will look to stay hot in his next start, currently slated as a tough road matchup in Atlanta.

Gore allowed two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three batters over 6.1 innings in a no-decision against Philadelphia on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Gore carried a one-run lead into the seventh inning but was pulled after Bryson Stott tagged him for a one-out, game-tying solo homer. Despite that disappointing exit, this was a positive overall outing for the lefty hurler, and he's now fired back-to-back quality starts for the first time this season. Gore didn't have the strikeout stuff Saturday that he had his previous time out, when he fanned nine Red Sox batters over six frames, but Gore did established a season-high mark with his 6.1 frames. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come at home against Seattle.

Gore (2-4) took the loss Sunday against Boston, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
After being chased in three innings by the Blue Jays in his last start, Gore went six deep for the second time this season and notched a quality start. Each of the three runs scored by Boston came in the second as part of a two-hit, one-error frame. One of the runs came on a wild pitch by Gore, with Jarren Duran stealing home. Gore has fanned at least seven hitters in three of his last six starts and has 51 punchouts across 40.0 innings this season. Gore's tentatively scheduled for a start against the Phillies on Saturday.

Gore did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing six runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over three innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Gore needed 76 pitches to get through three innings, with a second-inning grand slam by Vladimir Guerrero serving as the biggest blow. The silver lining for fantasy managers is that Guerrero's blast did not hurt Gore's stat line as two errors in the inning, including a fielding error by Gore, rendered each of those runs unearned. It was the shortest outing of the season for Gore, who has yet to allow more than three earned runs in any contest. He'll carry a 3.44 ERA into his next start, tentatively scheduled to take place next weekend when the Nationals travel to Fenway Park to take on the Red Sox.

Gore (2-3) was hit with the loss Tuesday versus Texas after giving up two earned runs on five hits and a walk while striking out seven batters across five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gore managed to keep the Rangers off the scoreboard for the first three innings, but an RBI single from Jonah Heim in the fourth followed by a fielder's choice in the fifth was all it took for Texas to take the lead over Washington and hand Gore his third consecutive loss. Despite his record, the 25-year-old lefty still owns a 3.19 ERA and 1.35 WHIP on the year and has struck out at least six batters in four of his six starts. He's projected to start on the mound again Sunday against Toronto.

Gore (2-2) took the loss against the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks while striking out four batters over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gore held the vaunted Dodgers offense mostly in check and notched his first quality start of the campaign, but he still was handed a loss as Washington's offense couldn't figure out Los Angeles starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The outing marked the first time this season Gore has completed six innings, and it was a nice bounce-back after he gave up three runs over a season-low four frames versus Houston his last time out. Gore holds a 3.12 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 31:8 K:BB over 26 innings on the season.

Gore (2-1) took the loss Friday, giving up three runs on seven hits and a walk over four innings as the Nationals were downed 5-3 by the Astros. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw needed 92 pitches (64 strikes) to record his 12 outs, and all the damage off Gore came in the second inning when Houston led off the frame with back-to-back-to-back doubles. It was Gore's shortest outing so far in 2024, and he'll take a 3.60 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 27:6 K:BB through 20 innings into his next start, which lines up for a tough home tilt against the Dodgers next week.

Gore (2-0) collected a win Saturday in Oakland, tossing five shutout innings on four hits and one walk while striking out 11.
EDGE Analysis
The feeble Athletics lineup had no chance against Gore in this one. All four hits they tallied were singles, and they never advanced past second base while the left-hander was in the game. Gore's 11 strikeouts tied a career high, and he picked up an impressive 20 swinging strikes on 90 pitches. With a 2.81 ERA and 23:5 K:BB over 16 innings, we could be looking at the beginning of a post-hype breakout season from the 25-year-old southpaw.
