Gore (10-12) got the win Saturday against the Cubs, allowing one run on one hit and three walks while striking out nine over seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gore took a no-hitter into the seventh inning for the first time in his career, but he proceeded to allow a solo homer to Patrick Wisdom. Gore has put together a strong run of five quality starts in his last six outings, with a 1.82 ERA in that stretch, and he's reached double-digit wins for the first time in his career. The 25-year-old enters his final start of the season with a 4.04 ERA and 172 strikeouts in 160.1 innings.

Gore (9-12) picked up the win Sunday against Miami, allowing one unearned run on two hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
A fielding error by Jacob Young allowed Jhonny Pereda to reach base in the third inning, who eventually came in to score on a sacrifice fly by Jake Burger. The Nationals' subpar defense has hampered Gore's fantasy production, with 11 unearned runs being scored across the left-hander's last seven starts. In 153.1 innings, Gore has a 4.17 ERA and a 1.49 WHIP with a 163:61 K:BB. He's tentatively scheduled for a road start against the Cubs next weekend.

Gore (8-12) took the loss Tuesday, coughing up seven runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks over 3.2 innings as the Nationals were routed 12-0 by Atlanta. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Some shaky defense by the Nats, including an error by Jose Tena and a catcher's interference call on Keibert Ruiz, helped soften the blow to Gore's ERA, but it was still a hard fall back to Earth for the southpaw after he'd delivered three straight quality starts. Since the beginning of August, Gore has a 1.57 WHIP and 36:15 K:BB through 36.1 innings while serving up five homers, but only a 3.72 ERA thanks to 11 total unearned runs. He lines up to pitch at home this weekend against the Marlins.

Gore came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Marlins, allowing one run on one hit and one walk over six innings. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw retired the first 16 batters he faced, but a walk followed by a Nick Fortes RBI double ended any shot at history Gore might have had. The quality start was his eighth of the season, tying the career high he set in 2023, and he seems to have turned things around after a rough patch coming out of the All-Star break -- over his last three outings, all quality starts, Gore has a 2.00 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 19:2 K:BB in 18 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home early next week against Atlanta.

Gore (8-11) earned the win over the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six batters over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gore was solid against one of the league's top offenses, racking up 14 whiffs and finishing with just his second victory over his past 13 starts. The southpaw allowed a second-inning solo homer to Jazz Chisholm but gave up just one additional run from that point on. Gore had an 11-start stretch without a quality start between mid-June and mid-August, during which he posted a 6.75 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 45:31 K:BB over 50.2 innings. He may be turning things around, though, as he's now notched consecutive quality starts, allowing just three runs while registering a 10:1 K:BB across 12 frames over that span.

Gore allowed a run on seven hits over six innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out four during the extra-inning loss against Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Gore gave up a solo homer to Michael Harris on just the second pitch of his outing but looked strong otherwise. It was the first time since July 1 that Gore gave up fewer than three runs in a start. He also turned in his first quality start since June 14. Gore posted a 2.91 ERA through the end of May but has registered a 5.79 ERA since the start of June. For the year, Gore is 7-11 with a 4.51 ERA and a 140:54 K:BB through 26 starts. He's currently lined up for a home tilt against the Yankees next week.

Gore (7-11) took the loss Saturday, coughing up five runs on nine hits and two walks over 5.2 innings as the Nationals were downed 5-1 by the Phillies. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw held a 3.24 ERA after a June 14 win over the Marlins, but since then Gore's campaign has gone completely off the rails. He's been tagged for at least five runs in three straight starts and six of his last 11, going 1-6 over that stretch with a 6.75 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 45:31 K:BB in 50.2 innings. While his control hasn't been sharp, he's also been somewhat unlucky given his .370 BABIP on the year, and his 4.66 ERA is outpacing his 3.62 FIP by a wide margin. Gore will try to find a way to stop the bleeding in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Atlanta.

Gore (7-10) was saddled with the loss Sunday, allowing five runs (zero earned) on five hits and six walks over four innings against the Angels. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Gore produced a bit of a weird line, as it was just the second time all year he failed to allow an earned run, thanks to a fielding error by Jose Tena that directly allowed one run to score and helped set up four more. That's where Gore took over, walking four of a season-high six batters in the fateful fourth that culminated with a bases-clearing double by Kevin Pillar. Gore was removed after the inning and saddled with his 10th loss of the season. Gore was coming off his first win in nearly two months following his last start and will look to rebound in his next slated matchup, against the Phillies in the City of Brotherly Love.

Gore (7-9) earned the win against the Giants on Tuesday, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks with six strikeouts across five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gore surrendered four runs on two homers in the first inning but settled in to earn his first win since June 14. While the victory is a positive, the southpaw has yielded four or more earned runs in five of his past 10 outings while recording just one quality start in that span. He owns a 4.66 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 128:46 K:BB across 116 innings and lines up for a matchup with the Angels this weekend.

Gore (6-9) took the loss against Arizona on Wednesday, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out one batter over 5.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Though he's been up-and-down in terms of allowing runs this season, Gore entered Wednesday's contest with a healthy 10.3 K/9 over 105.2 frames. It comes as a surprise, then, to see just one punchout on his final stat line, though it's the second time he's posted that total over his past seven starts. In fact, Gore's production has been quite poor over that span, as he's recorded a 7.84 ERA and 24:19 K:BB over 31 innings. It appeared at times earlier in the campaign that Gore could be in the midst of a breakout, but he hasn't picked up a win since mid-June and is now sporting a 4.54 ERA, which would be the worst mark of his three-year career.
