Gore yielded six runs on nine hits and two walks over five innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out three during the extra-inning win over St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
Most of the damage against Gore came during a disastrous third inning. He served up a two-run shot to Masyn Winn, and that was followed by a three-run blast from Nolan Arenado. After posting a terrific 2.91 ERA through the end of May, Gore has registered a 6.51 ERA since the start of June. He now owns a 4.51 ERA with a 121:43 K:BB through 105.2 innings this season. His next start is projected to be in Arizona.

Gore allowed three runs on two hits and four walks while striking out two batters over two innings in a no-decision against Cincinnati on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Gore allowed a pair of runs in the first inning and another in the second before giving way to a reliever. He needed 67 pitches to get through the pair of frames, and only 37 of his offerings were strikes. All three of the runners who scored against Gore got aboard by way of a walk, and the southpaw's four free passes tied his second-highest mark this season. This was Gore's shortest start of the campaign and the third straight outing in which he has failed to complete five frames. Over that span, he's given up 12 earned runs over 10 innings.

Gore (6-8) took the loss Thursday, allowing four runs on three hits and three walks over 4.2 innings against the Mets. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Gore was mired in a scoreless pitcher's duel with Mets' starter David Peterson through four but fell apart in the fifth, loading the bases to set up a Brandon Nimmo bases-clearing double that ended Gore's day. Nimmo later scored, saddling Gore with a fourth earned run to further damage his final line. Following a start to the season that saw Gore allow three or fewer earned runs during 14 of his first 15 starts, Gore has now allowed four or more in three of his last four outings. While his WHIP has risen just 0.05 points from 1.38 to 1.43 over the last four, his ERA has risen by three-quarters of a run from 3.26 to 4.01. Gore will now receive some extra time to reset as his next start won't come until after next week's All-Star break.

Gore came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 14-6 win over St. Louis, coughing up five runs on six hits and five walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw has shown improved control and command overall in 2024, but Gore couldn't find the plate Saturday and needed 90 pitches (52 strikes) to record 10 outs, failing to take advantage of a huge offensive outburst by the Nats. He's failed to complete six innings in four straight outings and in six of seven since the beginning of June, stumbling to a 5.35 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 40:17 K:BB through 35.1 innings over that stretch. Gore will try to get back on track in his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week against the Mets.

Gore did not factor into the decision in Monday's 9-7 loss to the Mets, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The Washington southpaw created an incredible 21 whiffs to collect his eight punchouts. This was a bounce back performance for Gore as he struggled in five June starts with a 5.13 ERA across 26.1 innings. The 25-year-old's season ERA now stands at 3.47 with 107:29 K:BB over 90.2 innings. He is tentatively scheduled to make his next outing against the Cardinals at home this weekend.

The southpaw has lost three of his five starts in June, giving up 18 runs (17 earned) over 26.1 innings. He's now at a 3.81 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 99:28 K:BB through 85 innings across 16 starts on the year. Gore is projected to make his next start at home versus the Mets.

Gore (6-6) suffered the loss Thursday, allowing four runs on 10 hits and two walks in five innings against the Diamondbacks. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Gore was unable to match his opponent's efficiency on the mound, allowing 12 baserunners and needing 103 pitches to complete five frames. The Diamondbacks meanwhile needed only 87 pitches for the entirety of the contest including just 70 in seven innings by starter Ryne Nelson. Gore was done in by a lot of dink and dunk as nine of the 10 hits he allowed were singles. It was just the second time all season Gore has allowed more than three runs and was the fifth time he's eclipsed the 100-pitch plateau. The performance raised Gore's ERA from 3.24 to 3.49 while his WHIP lifted from 1.32 to 1.39. His next opportunity to toe the rubber is set for early next week when the Nationals travel to San Diego to take on the Padres.

EDGE Analysis
Gore was excellent Friday, holding Miami to a lone second-inning run en route to his fourth win in his last five starts. It's the third double-digit strikeout outing for Gore this year as he lowered his ERA to 3.24 with a 1.32 WHIP and 91:23 K:BB through 14 starts (75 innings) this season. The left-hander is currently in line for a home matchup with the Diamondbacks in his next outing.

Gore won't start Thursday against the Tigers in Detroit as previously scheduled and will instead take the hill Friday versus the Marlins in Washington while he recovers from a fingernail issue, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Nationals will have Patrick Corbin take the hill Thursday in order to build in an extra day of recovery time for Gore. Though Gore is currently in line to take the hill Friday, fantasy managers will want to ensure he hasn't suffered a setback with the fingernail issue leading up to the series opener with Miami that may prompt the Nationals to push him back in the schedule. Gore will head into the weekend with a 5-5 record, 3.57 ERA and 1.37 WHIP through 68 innings on the season.

Gore (5-5) earned the win Saturday over Atlanta, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Gore delivered four shutout innings before he was ultimately charged with a run in each of the fifth and sixth innings. While he failed to make it through six innings for a third straight outing, it was a solid rebound effort from Gore after he was tagged for six runs in just 4.1 innings in his last start against the Mets. Overall, the 25-year-old southpaw sports a 3.57 ERA with a 1.37 WHIP and 81:22 K:BB across 68 innings this year. Gore's currently scheduled to face the Marlins at home in his next start.
