Williamson was placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list Saturday, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson suffered the concussion after crashing into a wall in Tuesday's game against the Nationals. The DL stint is retroactive to Wednesday, meaning he's eligible to return Tuesday, though as with any concussion it's difficult to know exactly when symptoms will subside. Austin Slater was recalled to take his place on the roster.

Williamson (concussion) is not starting the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson crashed into the wall Tuesday against the Nationals and has yet to return to the lineup. He was initially reported to be suffering from neck stiffness, though he's now also in the concussion protocol. The Giants play two games on Saturday, so it's possible he'll just need a few more hours to be ready, but a trip to the seven-day concussion disabled list remains a possibility.

Williamson is currently in the Giants' concussion protocol, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson was scratched from Wednesday's lineup as he was reportedly dealing with neck stiffness after a collision with the wall Tuesday, but there now appears to have been a concussion issue, as well. The 27-year-old's status remains unclear at this point, but a trip to the seven-day concussion disabled list wouldn't be surprising.

Williamson (neck) is not in the lineup Friday against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson was scratched from Wednesday's contest due to neck stiffness, and it doesn't seem like Thursday's off-day was enough to get him back to 100 percent. He has two opportunities to return to the lineup Saturday, so continue to consider him day-to-day for now. Gorkys Hernandez will take over in left field for the evening.

Williamson was scratched from the Giants' lineup Wednesday against the Nationals with neck stiffness, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson suffered the injury after hitting the wall during Tuesday's game. It's unclear how serious the issue is, but if it's a minor one, he could return Friday against the Dodgers after the team's day off Thursday. Gregor Blanco will move to left field with Austin Jackson taking Blanco's spot in center.

Williamson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a single in Tuesday's win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson's solo shot came off Tanner Roark in the sixth, and put the Giants back in the lead. The slugging outfielder now has three homers and six RBI in five games since being called up from Triple-A Sacramento. Additionally, all three home runs have been impressive displays of power to the opposite side of the field and to center. Williamson was absolutely crushing it in Sacramento before being called up, to the tune of a .487/.600/1.026 slash line with six homers and 16 RBI in 11 games. He's doing his best to force the Giants to make a difficult decision once Hunter Pence is back from the disabled list.

Williamson went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Monday's 4-2 victory over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson's second homer of the season was an impressive one, carrying 464 feet to the opposite field and clearing the deepest part of the park by a healthy distance. Statcast reported that it was the longest home run at AT&T Park since they began collecting data in 2015. This was a great example of the slugger's tremendous power to all fields, an asset the Giants were deficient in last season (no 20-homer players in 2017). Hunter Pence (thumb) began taking batting practice this week, but manager Bruce Bochy will have a tough time removing Williamson's hot bat from the lineup if he continues to stroke the ball with authority. The 27-year-old is worth a look for owners in need of a power bat in the event he runs away with the Giants' left field job.

Williamson is in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the third consecutive day that Williamson has been in the Giants' starting lineup, making it appear that he'll likely see regular playing time until Hunter Pence (thumb) returns to full health. Over the previous two games, Williamson has combined to go 2-for-8 with a home run.

Williamson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in his 2018 debut against the Angels on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The slugging outfielder was setting Triple-A on fire with an impressive .487/.600/1.026 slash line in 46 plate appearances. While it is certainly a small sample size, it is worth noting that Williamson worked with swing guru Doug Latta this past offseason, who notably sparked the late-career breakout of Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner. The 27-year-old is a natural corner outfielder, but the diminished returns from Hunter Pence could force manager Bruce Bochy's hand in benching the veteran more often in an effort to get Williamson's bat in the lineup. That decision won't have to be made for a couple of days with the designated hitter at the team's disposal in this road series against the Angels. Williamson is certainly worth a flier for some cheap power in the event he runs away with a regular role going forward.

Williamson was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Williamson will head to the big leagues as a part of the taxi squad. He demolished the ball at Triple-A this season, batting .487 with six homers in 11 games for the River Cats. He's in the starting lineup for Friday's contest with the Angels, hitting seventh and playing left field.
