Williamson is suing the Giants over the concussion he suffered back in 2018, which he says, "ended [his] career," Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson alleges the Giants created a dangerous work environment by having bullpen mounds on the field, a setup which caused him to trip and hit his head on a wall. He still has symptoms such as blurred vision. The outcome of the suit, while potentially interesting, likely doesn't have fantasy implications, though the fact that Williamson seemingly considers his career to be over does, as he hasn't officially announced his retirement. Those implications aren't particularly significant, however, as Williamson is a 30-year-old with a .203/.282/.348 career slash line in 160 big-league games.

The Nationals released Williamson on Monday, Brittany Ghiroli of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
After finishing the 2019 season in the Korea Baseball Organization with the Samsung Lions, Williamson returned to North America this spring after signing a minor-league deal with the Nationals. The slugging outfielder was expected to open the campaign at Triple-A Fresno, but the likelihood of the 2020 minor-league season being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic prompted Washington to cut ties with him.

Williamson signed with the Nationals as a non-roster invitee Wednesday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old hasn't put things together over parts of five seasons in the big leagues, hitting .203/.282/.348 in 483 plate appearances. He played 40 games for the Samsung Lions of the KBO last season after getting designated for assignment by the Mariners, but his .273/.327/.409 line there doesn't exactly suggest he suddenly figured things out.

Williamson is nearing an agreement to sign with the Samsung Lions of the Korea Baseball Organization, Sung Min Kim of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
WIlliamson's rights remain with the Mariners after he recently accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Tacoma, but he'll likely be released from his obligations to the organization while he pursues what's presumably a more lucrative opportunity overseas. The 29-year-old Williamson has posted some eye-popping numbers in the Triple-A ranks over the past three seasons, but his 28.8 percent career strikeout rate has prevented him from finding much sustained success in the majors. He could emerge as one of the KBO's top power hitters while having the luxury of teeing off against pitchers who typically work at lower velocities than their MLB counterparts.

Williamson was sent outright to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson will remain in Seattle's organization after being designated for assignment by the Mariners and subsequently passing through waivers unclaimed. The outfielder is slashing just .156/.250/.258 with four home runs and two stolen bases in 144 big-league plate appearances this season.

Williamson was designated for assignment by the Mariners on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson hasn't found his stroke at the dish since being called up June 5, hitting just .182 with three homers and 10 RBI over 25 games. He'll head to the waiver wire after getting booted from the 40-man roster.

Williamson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson will head to the bench for the third time in four games in favor of Dylan Moore, who may have temporarily displaced Williamson as manager Scott Servais' preferred option in left field. Though Williamson joined the big club with a bang in his first game following his June 5 callup from Triple-A Tacoma, slugging a three-run, pinch-hit homer, he's managed a .197/.303/.288 slash line in his subsequent 19 contests.

Williamson went 1-for-3 with an RBI double play, a two-run home run and three runs overall in a win over the Orioles on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson's tenure as a fill-in for Mitch Haniger (groin) continues to be a productive one, with the veteran outfielder now having driven in five runs over his last four games. Williamson also boasts a seven-game hitting streak, a stretch during which he's slugged a pair of round trippers overall. While Haniger's eventual return will relegate Williamson to a bench role, he's currently paying off to an extent for those who plucked him off the wire in their leagues.

Williamson went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-9 win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson has hit safely in his last five games, going 5-for-19 in that span. The left fielder has hit only .204 with two homers and seven RBI in 14 games since signing with the Mariners after posting a .118 average in 15 games with the Giants earlier in the season. Williamson should continue to see regular playing time with Mitch Haniger (groin) out.

Williamson went 2-for-4 with a run in a win over the Athletics on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Williamson drew the start in left field and offered solid production out of the last spot in the order, posting his first multi-hit effort since arriving in Seattle earlier in June. The 28-year-old continues to log regular playing time for the time being while Mitch Haniger (groin) and Braden Bishop (chest) remain on the injured list.
