Perdomo (shoulder) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso on Saturday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was less than stellar in his first rehab start, giving up four runs in two innings (53 pitches). He did strike out two hitters, but he also gave up two walks and allowed five hits. Perdomo has been out for nearly a month now, so he'll likely need a few more rehab starts before returning to the big-league rotation.

Padres manager Andy Green said that Perdomo, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list Saturday with a right shoulder strain, isn't dealing with any structural damage, the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Perdomo's X-rays confirming the initial diagnosis, it appears the 25-year-old has avoided a season-ending injury. Green relayed that Perdomo will likely spend a couple weeks on the DL, but a more specific target date for the right-hander's return probably won't be established until he resumes a throwing program.

Perdomo (shoulder) was moved to the 10-day disabled list Saturday due to a right shoulder strain, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
After injuring his shoulder during Friday's outing, Perdomo will require a stint on the disabled list before returning to action. It's unclear if he'll be forced to miss more than the minimum, though more news on his status should surface as he begins to rehab.

Perdomo is likely headed to the disabled list after suffering a shoulder injury during Friday's start, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following Friday's brief outing against the Diamondbacks, during which Perdomo gave up six earned runs off eight hits across 2.1 innings, manager Andy Green said the right-hander is unlikely to make his next start. Green didn't specify on the severity of Perdomo's apparent injury, but added that the organization will look down to their Triple-A ranks to find a replacement for his upcoming turn in the rotation.

Perdomo (1-6) took the loss against the Diamondbacks on Friday, giving up six earned runs on eight hits over 2.1 innings, striking out two and walking two in San Diego's 6-2 defeat.
EDGE Analysis
All the damage came in the third inning against the right-hander, who now has a 7.94 ERA and 2.04 WHIP through his 39.2 innings. Opposing batters are also now hitting .349 off of him this season. It's stating the obvious, but those are numbers that leave him far off the fantasy radar, and he might not be long for San Diego's rotation with Jordan Lyles (forearm) working his way back from the disabled list.

Pedromo (1-5) allowed three earned runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five across 6.1 innings to take the loss Sunday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Perdomo had allowed only one earned run through six innings of work, prior to allowing two runners to reach base in the seventh inning. The Padres' bullpen was unable to strand those runners, which tarnished Perdomo's line. Still, this one was of his better starts of the season, highlighted by 10 swinging strikes -- his highest total since March 31. With Jordan Lyles beginning a rehab assignment, Perdomo's time in the rotation might not last much longer unless a starter is moved prior to the trade deadline.

Perdomo's scheduled start Saturday against the Phillies was cancelled due to rain.
EDGE Analysis
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Sunday, so Perdomo will likely start one of the two games that day. The Padres have an off day next Thursday, so Perdomo could make his next start the following Friday against Arizona on normal rest despite the postponement.

Perdomo tossed 5.2 innings in a no decision against the Athletics on Wednesday. He allowed a pair of runs on four hits and four walks, striking out three batters.
EDGE Analysis
Perdomo allowed a fair number of baserunners but avoided significant damage, keeping the Padres in the game until the bullpen allowed a pair of runs in the eighth. It was an adequate but unimpressive start for the 25-year-old, whose season ERA now sits at 6.86 through 19.2 innings. He's expected to remain in the rotation, starting Monday against the Dodgers.

Perdomo was recalled from Triple-A El Paso ahead of Wednesday's start against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
It sounds like Perdomo will be up for more than a spot start. "He could very well be here the rest of the baseball season," manager Andy Green told AJ Cassavell of MLB.com. "That's highly possible for him." The 25-year-old has enjoyed a good deal of success with El Paso this year, posting a 3.10 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 69.2 innings. The strikeouts have never really been there at any level (6.7 K/9 in majors), but Perdomo keeps the ball on the ground and that ability figures to keep him in the mix as a home streaming option throughout the second half.

Perdomo will likely be recalled to start against the Athletics on Wednesday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Assuming Perdomo takes the hill Wednesday, this likely implies Jordan Lyles (forearm) isn't ready to return from the 10-day disabled list. Across four starts with the Padres this year, Perdomo has allowed 13 earned runs off 26 hits in just 14 innings of work. Expect to see San Diego officially make the roster move Wednesday.
