Cessa was recalled to the majors Tuesday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cessa was up with the Yankees earlier in the month and was supposed to start over the weekend, but he missed his opportunity when both his initially scheduled appearance Saturday and the rescheduled game Sunday were postponed due to inclement weather. He's now back with the big club, presumably in a bullpen capacity. A corresponding move has not yet been announced.

Cessa was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Cessa was originally scheduled to start Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader, but with both games getting postponed, the Yankees will no longer need the right-hander's services. Look for the team to call upon Cessa if in need of a spot start down the road.

Cessa will not make a start Sunday, as Game 1 of the doubleheader against the Tigers has been postponed and Luis Severino is scheduled to start Game 2.
EDGE Analysis
It's possible that both games end up getting postponed, but in the event that they are able to play the nightcap, Severino would take the ball. The Yankees wouldn't need a fifth starter next week, so Cessa should shift to the bullpen going forward.

Cessa will start the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against Detroit, Billy Witz of The New York Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cessa will take the mound for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader following Luis Severino's start in the afternoon game. Initially, Cessa was scheduled to pitch Saturday, but inclement weather postponed the outing.

Cessa will not take the hill against the Tigers on Saturday due to inclement weather but is expected to start one half of Sunday's split doubleheader, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's a decent chance that Sunday's game(s) could be postponed as well with a heavy dose of rain still on the way, but Cessa should be tentatively plugged in to toe the rubber during one of the contests. The right-hander has only made two appearances out of the bullpen for the Yankees this year, tossing a pair of scoreless innings while recording three strikeouts earlier this week against Baltimore and Boston.

Cessa will take the hill against Detroit on Saturday, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cessa was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this past weekend and pitched an inning of relief against the Red Sox on Tuesday. With CC Sabathia (hip) on the 10-day disabled list, the Yankees will need him to make a spot start against Detroit, after which he will likely be sent back down to the minors for a fresh bullpen arm. Cessa has started 14 games for the Yankees since 2016 and has logged a career ERA of 4.40 with a 1.21 WHIP over 108.1 innings.

Cessa was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
With CC Sabathia (hip) landing on the 10-day DL, either Cessa or Domingo German, who was also recalled from Triple-A, figure to slot into the Yankees' rotation on Thursday in Boston. Cessa would be available if the Yankees need length out of the bullpen Saturday, as he could still start Thursday on normal rest. He has a career 4.54 ERA in 73.1 innings as a big-league starter, and German seems like a better option to slot into the rotation, at least on paper. Cessa could serve as a valuable long man for the Yankees, but is unlikely to emerge as a valuable fantasy option in mixed leagues.

Cessa was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Though Cessa didn't earn a spot on the Opening Day roster, he remains the top option for an emergency spot start if any member of the Yankees' rotation were to go down with an injury. The 25-year-old has appeared in 27 games at the big-league level over the past two seasons, including 14 starts, and has exhibited the ability to work out of a long-relief role as well.

Cessa was scratched from Wednesday's Grapefruit League contest against the Mets due to a stiff neck but is expected to take the hill for Saturday's rematch, Erik Boland of Newsday Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
There doesn't appear to be much concern over Cessa's status as manager Aaron Boone was confident enough to give him the start for Saturday's outing. The 25-year-old will likely begin the 2018 campaign as an inning-eating out of the bullpen with the capability to make spot starts for the Bronx Bombers.

Cessa (ribs) was reinstated from the 60-day DL on Friday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cessa was placed on the disabled list with a rib-cage injury in mid-August, and wound up missing the rest of the 2017 season because of the ailment. There should be no worry over his status for next year, as he's expected to be fully healed and healthy heading into spring training.
