Giolito allowed six hits and three walks while striking out nine over five scoreless innings Sunday against the Twins. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Sunday was Giolito's third outing this season without allowing a run, though it was his first time not securing a win in one of those starts. He gave up just one extra-base knock and made some history by recording his 1,000th career strikeout in the bottom of the third. Giolito has recorded nine-plus strikeouts in three of his last six starts but has just one win since June 6. He now holds a 3.79 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 131:42 K:BB in 121 innings and lines up to face the Guardians next, that is if he hasn't been traded by the time he's set to take the mound again.

Giolito (6-6) took the loss Tuesday as the White Sox fell 11-10 to the Mets, surrendering eight runs on six hits -- including three home runs -- and five walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
New York ambushed the right-hander for five runs in the first inning alone, as rookies Francisco Alvarez and Brett Baty both took him deep, and things didn't get much better for Giolito from there. He's now served up 20 homers on the season in only 116 innings, helping to fuel his 3.96 ERA, but his 1.20 WHIP and 122:39 K:BB remain respectable. He lines up for his next start this weekend in Minnesota.

Giolito allowed two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out five over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Giolito was able to limit the damage to a two-run home run by Willson Contreras in the fourth inning. Since the start of June, Giolito has posted five quality starts across seven outings but managed just two wins in that span. The right-hander finished the first half with a 3.45 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 117:34 K:BB through 112.1 innings through 19 starts. He'll likely face Atlanta on the road coming out of the All-Star break.

Giolito allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings in a no-decision versus the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Giolito pitched well outside of the fourth inning, when he allowed four of his six baserunners and both runs. Luis Robert's sixth-inning homer put Giolito in line for the win, but Joe Kelly surrendered the lead in the eighth. Giolito has limited opponents to two earned runs or less in five of his last six starts. He's at a 3.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 112:31 K:BB through 105.1 innings over 18 outings this year. The right-hander could make one more start in the first half, which would be over the weekend at home against the Cardinals.

Giolito (6-5) allowed four runs on six hits and struck out nine without walking a batter over seven innings to earn the win Wednesday over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Giolito faded a bit late, allowing solo home runs to Brandon Drury and Hunter Renfroe in the seventh inning. Over five starts in June, Giolito allowed 11 runs (eight earned) across 31 innings, making this his best month of the season so far. He's at a 3.53 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 108:29 K:BB over 99.1 innings through 17 starts this season. Giolito's first outing in July is projected to be a home start versus the Blue Jays.

Giolito (5-5) allowed three runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk while striking out 10 over six innings to take the loss Friday versus the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The 10 strikeouts were a season high for Giolito, and he turned in his third quality start in four outings in June. The right-hander just didn't get enough run support, taking his first loss in five starts. Giolito is at a 3.41 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 99:29 K:BB over 92.1 innings through 16 starts this season. He's lined up for a road start versus the Angels next week.

Giolito did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing three runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings against the Mariners. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Giolito completed five innings for a fourth straight outing and has given up seven runs across 23 innings during that stretch. Aside from a horrendous performance versus the Pirates in April, the veteran right-hander has been strong this season, posting a 2.91 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 81:25 K:BB over his other 13 appearances. Giolito will look to stay sharp next time out, which is tentatively scheduled as part of a three-game weekend set versus Boston.

Giolito did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on six hits and one walk over seven innings in a 6-5 loss against Miami. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Giolito was lined up to grab his third consecutive win with the White Sox up 5-1 when he exited, but he was taken out of contention following a late burst of offense by the Marlins in the eighth and ninth innings. Giolito's only blemish of the day came on a solo homer by Jorge Soler in the fifth inning. The 28-year-old has rattled off a pair of impressive starts, having allowed one run with 15 strikeouts over 13 innings. Giolito is tentatively scheduled to take the mound next against the Mariners in Seattle.

Giolito (5-4) earned the win Tuesday, allowing three walks over six scoreless innings against the Yankees. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Giolito stumped the Yankees on Tuesday, holding them hitless through six innings but was pulled after throwing 100 pitches. The no-hit bid was quickly spoiled in the seventh, as Joe Kelly allowed an RBI double to Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Tuesday's outing marked Giolito's first start without allowing a run since April 18, while he also tallied more than six punchouts for the first time in five starts. Though Giolito hasn't been able to match his impressive stats from years prior, he has undoubtedly been serviceable in 2023, owning a 3.75 ERA and 1.20 WHIP to pair with a 76:24 K/BB through 13 appearances (74.1 innings). He's expected to take on the Marlins at home for his next start.

Giolito (4-4) earned the win Tuesday, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over five innings against the Angels. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Giolito struggled to keep the ball in the park Tuesday, giving up a leadoff homer to Taylor Ward in the first inning, then serving up a long ball to Shohei Ohtani in the fourth. Giolito's issue with power has plagued him as of late, with Tuesday's contest marking his sixth straight start allowing a homer while moving his total home runs allowed to nine over his last eight appearances. Through 68.1 innings, Giolito owns a 4.08 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 9.09 K/9 and is tentatively scheduled to face the Yankees in New York for his next start.
