Webb (back) will start Monday's spring game against the Angels, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander missed his final start of 2022 due to back stiffness, but it appears he's ready for the start of spring games. Webb will open 2023 as San Francisco's ace after he posted a 2.90 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 163:49 K:BB across a career-high 192.1 innings last year.

Webb (back) was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Webb was set to start Sunday against the Diamondbacks, but his season will instead be over after 32 starts. He posted a strong encore to his breakout 2021 campaign, maintaining a 2.90 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and a 163:49 K:BB across 192.1 innings. Sean Hjelle is expected to be recalled to take Webb's place on the active roster, and Scott Alexander will start a bullpen game for the Giants on Sunday.

Webb is dealing with back stiffness and may not make another start this season, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Webb's injury doesn't appear to be a major one, but there's little sense in risking anything with the Giants all but eliminated from postseason contention. The 25-year-old righty has seen his innings jump from 148.1 last year to 192.1 this season, so shutting him down at this point may be a good idea even if he weren't dealing with a minor injury. Webb's turn in the rotation is due up Sunday, so the Giants will likely have to make a decision quite soon.

Webb (15-9) earned the win during Tuesday's 5-2 victory over Colorado, allowing one run on five hits and one walk with seven strikeouts in five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Webb permitted his lone run on three singles in the top of the first and shut Colorado's offense down over the next four frames to fall in line for his fourth win in five September starts. During the stretch, the 25-year-old has pitched to a 2.96 ERA with 26 strikeouts in 27.1 innings. Webb has been one of the most durable pitchers this season -- he's tied for the MLB-lead with 32 games started and ranks fourth with 192.1 innings -- as he lines up to make one more start before the campaign concludes October 5.

Webb (14-9) picked up the win on Wednesday, shutting out the Rockies over 5.1 innings while allowing just one hit and striking out five. He did not issue a walk but did hit a batter.
EDGE Analysis
Webb brought his best stuff in this one as he cruised through the first five innings without allowing a hit. He was then removed from the game with one out in the sixth after he allowed a single to Sean Bouchard. The right-hander threw only 66 pitches, including 13 first-pitch strikes, but he made an early exit as the Giants are managing his workload down the stretch since he's already thrown a career-high 187.1 innings. Webb is projected for a rematch with the Rockies next week in San Francisco.

Webb (13-9) took the loss Friday versus the Dodgers, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts in four innings.
EDGE Analysis
Webb kept the ball in the yard for the seventh time in his last eight starts, but the Dodgers were able to beat him with small ball. The right-hander threw 57 of 90 pitches for strikes in a lackluster start. His ERA rose to 3.02 with a 1.19 WHIP and 151:48 K:BB through 182 innings across 30 starts this year. Webb is projected for a daunting road start in Colorado next week.

Webb (13-8) earned the win Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits over seven innings against the Cubs. He struck out six and did not issue a walk.
EDGE Analysis
Webb turned in a couple clunkers early in the second half, but he's returned to form, posting 1.75 ERA in his last six starts. The 25-year-old is tied for sixth in the National League with 13 wins, and his 2.88 ERA for the season ranks sixth among qualified starters in the NL. Webb lines up for a home start against the Dodgers next week.

Webb (12-8) allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits and no walks with six strikeouts in six innings to earn the win over the Dodgers on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants hit five home runs in the contest, giving Webb plenty of support to take down the rival Dodgers. This ended a three-start losing streak for the right-hander, and it was his first quality start since he pitched eight scoreless innings Aug. 13 versus the Pirates. Webb has a 2.89 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 143:56 K:BB through 171 innings across 28 starts this year. He'll look to build off of this outing in his next start, tentatively scheduled as a road date versus the Cubs this weekend.

Webb (11-8) took the loss Tuesday versus the Padres, allowing just one unearned run on four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Webb was fairly solid, but the Padres were able to scrape together a run in the sixth inning with the help of an error. The Padres added on in the seventh and the Giants couldn't catch up, sending Webb to his season-high third consecutive loss. The right-hander still has a solid 3.22 ERA with a 1.18 WHIP and 137:46 K:BB through 165 innings across 27 starts this year. He'll look to snap the losing streak in a tough road start versus the Dodgers next week, which will likely be the first in a two-start week for Webb.

Webb (11-7) allowed six earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out six across 4.2 innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Webb imploded in the fifth inning, as he allowed five hits and a walk to account for all six of the earned runs charged to him. He's now allowed six earned runs in two of his last five starts while recording only two quality starts in his last six outings. Despite the rough stretch, Webb still has a 3.33 ERA and a 130:45 K:BB across 159.1 frames on the season.
