Lewis (knee) could return from knee surgery by midseason, Mariners player development director Andy McKay told MLB.com's Greg Johns.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis required ACL reconstruction surgery last July, prematurely shutting down his first pro season, in which he was hitting .299 (35-for-117) with three home runs and 26 RBI through 30 games with short-season Everett. He appears poised to be back on the field sometime in July or August, so the 21-year-old may only be back on the field for about a month of the minor league season, setting back his development in 2017.

Lewis (knee) is ahead of schedule in his return from the knee surgery he underwent in July, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis was batting .299 with three home runs in 30 games with short-season Everett prior to tearing his ACL, so it's a very welcome sight to see the top prospect getting back into shape so quickly. Divish also reports that the Mariners are insistent that they will not rush him back into action, which keeps his expected return date sometime in June.

Lewis (knee) has torn his ACL in his right knee, to go along with a torn medial and lateral meniscus, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports
EDGE Analysis
Lewis has officially been ruled out for the rest of the 2016 season, and this unfortunate injury could affect his availability for the start of next season. Even though this will delay his development, Lewis is still a very appealing play for the future. The rookie was hitting .299 (35-for-117) with three home runs, 26 RBI and a .915 OPS during 30 games with short-season Everett in his brief time with the club.

Lewis (knee) is out for the rest of the season after suffering the knee injury during Tuesday's contest, Bub Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis was hurt during a play at the plate which forced him to exit the locker room on crutches after his game with short-season Everett. The 11th overall pick by the Mariners in June could end up missing a little more time at the beginning of next season as well, depending on the severity of his injury. The exact diagnosis of his injury has not been released yet, but the exam showed a bad injury, and if there any torn ligaments or structural damage, that could mean a long road ahead for the rookie.

Lewis left Tuesday's game for short-season Everett with a knee injury that he suffered on a play at the plate, Baseball America's Hudson Belinsky reports. He left the locker room on crutches and will see a doctor Wednesday, according to the Everett Herald's Jesse Geleynse.
EDGE Analysis
This doesn't sound great, but we will await more news before speculating on the severity of the injury. Lewis was slashing .299/.385/.530 with three homers and a 22:16 K:BB in 30 games in the Northwest League, establishing himself as a top-three fantasy prospect from this year's draft class.

Lewis, drafted 11th overall by the Mariners in June, was named the Golden Spikes Award winner Thursday, given to the nation's top collegiate player, the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis dominated at Mercer this season, batting .395 with an incredible .535 OBP. He clubbed 20 homers and 33 extra-base hits and drew a school-record 66 walks. The M's sent him to Low-A Everett. The organization has failed to develop players the last decade or so (Kyle Seager and Ketel Marte are the only homegrown position players on the Seattle roster). First-year GM Jerry DiPoto cleaned out the instructional side of the organization when he took over but kept the top-level scouts, including director of amateur scouting Tom McNamara. Thus, there likely is even more riding on Lewis' development from an organization standpoint.
