Hendricks stymied the anemic Mets offense on Tuesday, shutting them out for six innings to earn the win. Hendricks allowed just three hits and struck out six in the outing. It had been tough sledding for the second-year hurler before Tuesday's outing, allowing 10 earned runs in his last two starts. The win Monday was his only quality start of June. He'll take the mound against the Marlins next weekend.

Hendricks (2-4) lasted only five innings, giving up four runs on four hits and a walk while striking out three in Wednesday's loss to the Dodgers. With Wednesday's five-inning stint, Hendricks hasn't recorded an out in the sixth in any of his last four starts. The 25-year-old is getting by this season with a 4.46 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP, and he'll look to bounce back in his next scheduled start Tuesday at the Mets.

Hendricks (2-3) struggled Friday, allowing seven runs (six earned) on 11 hits over five innings in a 7-2 loss to the Twins. This was easily Hendricks' worst start of the season, as he struggled to miss bats even more than usual, striking out just one. Hendricks is also having trouble going deep into games, as this marks his third consecutive five-inning outing. The Twins didn't hit any homers off Hendricks, but made tons of contact and slapped the ball around the field, totaling six singles and five doubles. If he doesn't do a better job of mixing his pitches and changing velocity, Hendricks could be in for further struggles. He'll look to rebound Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Hendricks struck out seven and did not walk a batter while holding the Reds to one run on four hits over five innings Saturday night. He did not factor in the decision, however, as a long rain delay ensured that he didn't pitch deeper into the game (he needed just 57 pitches to get through five frames). Hendricks will face a difficult road test in Cleveland on Thursday in his next scheduled start.

Hendricks earned his second win of the season Sunday against the Nationals, allowing three runs (two earned) through five innings with four strikeouts and no walks. The righty did a good job limiting baserunners and his only real mistake came on a two-run home run in the second inning. Washington scored an unearned run in the fifth inning after a Cubs error, but the offense came through and secured the win for Hendricks, whose next scheduled start will come Saturday against the Reds.

Hendricks gave up four runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven in six innings Tuesday in Miami. It may not have been the best outing for Hendricks in terms of run prevention, but he is going deeper into games and missing more bats than he was earlier in the year. After pitching six innings just once in his first seven starts Hendricks has now gone six-plus innings in three-straight outings. He also has three seven-strikeout games in his last four starts, which runs contrary to the scouting report on Hendricks heading into the year. His next start will be Sunday in Washington.

Hendricks gave up one run on four hits and two walks, with four strikeouts over seven innings against the Nationals on Tuesday, but did not factor into the decision in the Cubs' 3-2 win. The lone blemish against Hendricks came on a wind-aided home run off the bat of Bryce Harper in the top of the seventh inning. He didn't get the win, but it was an outstanding follow-up on the heels of his complete game shutout of San Diego last week. Hendricks has lowered his ERA nearly 140 points in his last two starts (from 5.15 to 3.76).

Hendricks (1-1) threw a complete game shutout Thursday against the Padres, striking out seven and giving up five hits. Hendricks hadn't thrown a complete game or shutout in his two-year big league career, and he didn't have a win yet this year. That all changed Thursday, when he dominated the Padres with a five-hit shutout to carry the Cubs to a 3-0 victory. All five of the Padres' hits were singles, and only one baserunner advanced into scoring position when Justin Upton stole second base with two outs in the fourth. Hendricks came into the game with six no-decisions in seven starts, though he left the game with the lead in four of those starts. It was Hendricks' first win of the season, and he'll look to pick up another in his next scheduled start Tuesday against Washington.

Hendricks pitched well against the Brewers on Sunday, striking out three and walking two over 5.1 scoreless innings en route to a no-decision. This was easily Hendricks' best start of the season as he lowered his ERA to 4.65, although he was unable to earn his first victory. The 25-year-old will look to build off of this strong performance in his next start against the Pirates on Friday.

Hendricks struggled again Tuesday, giving up four runs and six hits in five innings against the Cardinals. He struck out one and walked two, but left the game with the score tied. Hendricks has made it through six innings just once in five starts this year, and his ERA is all the way up to 5.61. With a 20:6 K:BB ratio in 25.2 innings, Hendricks hasn't been as bad as his ERA indicates, but he hasn't exactly been good either.
