Gibson did not factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing six runs on nine hits and one walk over 4.2 innings against the Reds. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson was a mess Wednesday, allowing three hits and three runs in the opening frame while also hitting Jonathan India with a pitch. He would once again be victimized for another three runs in the second as the Reds tallied three straight hits to open the inning. The right-hander has now allowed at least five runs in back-to-back starts and has given up at least three runs in four of five starts in June. His ERA sits at 6.84 this month after maintaining a 3.86 ERA through six starts in May.

Gibson (8-5) took the loss Friday, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks over across innings against Seattle. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander produced a scoreless opening frame but floundered in the following two innings, as he needed 86 pitches to record just nine outs. It's the fifth time this season Gibson has issued as least three walks, though he still has a 3.58 ERA and 3-2 record in those games. The 35-year-old will carry a 4.30 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 69:30 K:BB over 92 frames into his next start, which projects to come at home against red-hot Cincinnati next week.

Gibson (8-4) took the loss Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks over six innings against the Cubs. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson did a good job of mixing up his pitches Saturday and struck out five of the first eight batters he faced. His biggest mistake on the day came in the form of a hanging sinker with two outs in the third, which Nico Hoerner ripped to center field to score Mike Tauchman and Miles Mastrobuoni and put the Orioles down 2-0. The right-hander later surrendered what would be the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly in the fifth, giving him his first loss since May 14. Gibson had won each of his last four decisions coming in (spanning five starts) and he's now struck out seven in two of his last three starts.

Gibson (6-3) earned the win over the Yankees on Thursday, pitching seven scoreless inning during which he allowed two hits and four walks while striking out three batters.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson didn't have his best control Thursday -- he threw just 56 of 96 pitches for a strike and walked a season-high four batters -- but he negated the impact of the wildness by allowing just two hits (both singles). The right-hander notched his sixth quality start of the campaign, three of which have come over his past four outings. Gibson has worked as the ace for a thriving Orioles squad, posting six wins and a 3.82 ERA through 11 starts.

Gibson will look to get back on track in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled for the opener of a three-game weekend set in Toronto.
