Gibson fell to 7-10 on the season after going just 4.2 innings Wednesday against the White Sox. He allowed seven runs, four of them earned, on seven hits (including three homers) and four walks while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
The Sox got to Gibson throughout his start, with Nicky Delmonico hitting a solo shot in the second and Tim Anderson adding another in the fourth. He was pulled in the bottom of the fifth after retiring just two of the nine Chicago hitters who came to the plate. Adam Engel added a two-run shot as part of a five-run inning in that frame. Those three homers represent a season high for Gibson, who still has a solid 3.63 ERA despite Wednesday's poor outing. He'll look to get back on track Tuesday in Cleveland.

Gibson (5-9) surrendered six runs (four earned) on seven hits and three walks while striking out three across five innings Monday as he was saddled with the loss against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson allowed the Indians to plate two runs in the first inning and four in the fourth before exiting the ballgame. He didn't receive much help from his offense, as he left with a 6-0 deficit. After recording a quality start his last time out (July 31) against Cleveland, he failed to keep his team in the game. Gibson sits with a 3.60 ERA and 1.24 WHIP with a 135:56 K:BB over 140 innings heading into his next appearance.

Gibson (5-8) allowed three runs on five hits in a loss to Cleveland on Tuesday, striking out six and walking three in six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson threw his 13th quality start of the season yet ended up with the loss. Gibson now sports a 3.47 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with a 132:53 K:BB in 135 innings. Each of the last two seasons Gibson's ERA has been over 5.00, and his WHIP over 1.50, so this year's numbers are certainly a welcome sight. His next start will be a rematch with the Indians in Cleveland.

Gibson (3-6) fired seven strong innings to earn the win over the Orioles on Saturday, allowing three runs on four hits and four walks while striking out nine.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson has been solid for the Twin through most of the season and he continued that with Saturday's effort, and was mostly strung by a first-inning two-run homer from Chris Davis. The 30-year-old will carry a 3.59 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 105:46 K:BB into his start against the Rays on Wednesday.

Gibson was charged with four runs (three earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings in a no-decision against the Brewers on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
He ran into trouble in the fifth inning, allowing four straight hits -- including a homer -- before recording an out. The right-hander was still in line for the win even after the rough fifth, but the bullpen couldn't hold the lead and secure the victory -- a common theme throughout the first half. Gibson has just two wins to show for his efforts through 100.2 innings this season. He lines up for favorable home starts against Baltimore and Tampa Bay in his final two outings before the All-Star break.

Gibson gave up just one run over seven innings with four walks and three strikeouts to improve to 2-4 in Friday's win over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson outdueled Corey Kluber in a surprise win. Gibson continues to be an unexpected success story this season as he lowered his ERA to 3.27. He's taken a significant leap in his strikeout rate to 8.8 K/9 after failing to get above 7.0 K/9 in his first five major league seasons.

Gibson allowed two runs on two hits and two walks across 5.2 innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Indians. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson's only real mistake came on a solo home run on the fifth inning by Edwin Encarnacion, with the other run on his ledger coming after he walked the leadoff man in the sixth and watched as the bullpen allowed him to score. He threw the ball well, delivering 64 percent of his pitches for strikes and inducing eight groundball outs. Gibson has allowed three earned runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts and will take a 3.54 ERA as well as a surprising 9.6 K/9 into his scheduled start next weekend against the Angels.

Gibson struck out eight in seven scoreless innings Tuesday against the Royals, allowing five hits and one walk in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson threw his third scoreless outing of the season, but still hasn't managed to record a win in his last 10 straight starts. He's carrying a very respectable 3.57 ERA and 1.25 WHIP while holding opponents to a .222 batting average. The right-hander is sporting an excellent 9.4 K/9 (the best of his career by far) but he's also putting up a career worst 4.0 BB/9. Gibson will look for a win in his next start against the Indians in a matchup at home.

Gibson (1-3) took the loss Wednesday, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three over six innings against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson remains winless since his first start of the season, but he nonetheless picked up a quality start in this one for the third time in four outings and the fourth time in the last six. The 30-year-old gave up another home run Wednesday -- his third in the last two starts -- but his 0.8 HR/9 is still well below last year's 1.4 mark. To go along with a 4.02 ERA, Gibson is sporting a career-best 9.3 K/9. He's slated to take on the Royals in Kansas City on Tuesday.

Gibson allowed three earned runs on four hits while walking two and striking out eight across 6.2 innings Sunday against the White Sox. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson took advantage of one of the weaker lineups in the league on Sunday, putting together his third consecutive strong outing. In that span, he has allowed four earned runs over 17.2 innings and struck out 24 batters. He's been a polarizing pitcher over the past few seasons, never living up to his potential, but he has undeniably put together a strong start to the season that is largely backed up by his peripheral stats.
