Gibson (3-1) allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk while striking out 11 across six innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson tossed his best outing of the season, with his loan blemish coming on a solo home run by Billy McKinney. He otherwise held the Blue Jays without an extra-base hit and didn't allow any runners to reach scoring position. While Gibson didn't pitch especially deep into the game, his 11 strikeouts stand out and were backed by 19 swinging strikes on a total of just 88 pitches. He'll look to build on this effort, with his next start likely to come Tuesday against the Angels.

Gibson (2-1) allowed five runs (two earned) on seven hits with five strikeouts and two walks in a loss to the Yankees on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins defense let down Gibson in this one, as three Yankees runs scored off two errors. Those mistakes forced Gibson to throw more pitches as well, and as a result, he had his shortest outing since April 9. Gibson dropped to 2-1 with the loss; he also has a 4.68 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 29 strikeouts in 32.2 innings this year. He is expected to make his next start on the road Wednesday against the Blue Jays.

Gibson (2-0) allowed one run on three hits while striking out six through seven innings in a win over the Orioles on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson didn't have much of a problem cruising through the Orioles, surrendering only three hits including a solo shot by Chris Davis. The 31-year-old has two consecutive quality starts and has not walked a batter in either outing. The right-hander has a 4.88 ERA with a 24:8 K:BB through five starts this season. Gibson will get his next start Friday in Yankee Stadium.

Gibson (1-0) gave up two runs on five hits with no walks while striking out six through six innings in a win over the Orioles on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson turned in a fine outing to win his first decision. This was easily his best start as he induced 14 swinging-strikes and 17 called strikes. The right-hander has a 1-0 record with a 6.10 ERA through four starts this season. Gibson will make his next start Sunday against the Orioles.

Gibson struck out four but was tagged with four runs over 5.1 innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Tuesday. He allowed four hits and three walks as the Twins eventually lost 6-5.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson shut out Toronto through the first five innings, but he ran into trouble in the sixth as he gave up three hits and a walk before he was removed. The 31-year-old's outing leaves him with an unsightly 7.36 ERA and 1.77 WHIP along with a 12:8 K:BB. He currently lines up to face the Orioles on the road Sunday.

Gibson allowed three runs on six hits and three walks across 4.2 innings during Tuesday's 14-8 win over the Mets. He recorded six strikeouts but did not qualify for the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson had a 6-3 lead entering the fifth inning but was unable to work through the frame as he gave up a double and two walks, ending his evening at 97 pitches. The 31-year-old couldn't secure the victory but was lucky to escape with only three runs allowed, given that he exited with the bases loaded. Gibson has pitched 4.2 innings during each of his first two starts and will look to buck that trend Sunday against the Tigers.

Gibson didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Royals, allowing six runs (five earned) on eight hits and two walks over 4.2 innings while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander looked solid enough through four innings, but a five-run fifth capped by Alex Gordon's three-run homer sent Gibson to the showers. Coming off a career-best 3.62 ERA and 179 strikeouts in 2018, this wasn't the way the 31-year-old wanted to start his campaign, but a long layoff -- his last spring outing came March 22 -- may have played a part. Gibson will look for a better result Sunday at home against the Tigers.

Gibson (illness) threw two scoreless innings in his spring training debut Monday with three strikeouts and two walks. He lost around 15 pounds after battling E. coli in January, but has gained some of the weight back, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson weighed 215 pounds before the illness and is back to 205 pounds. It sounds like he's on track to be ready for the start of the regular season, but watch his progress this spring.

Gibson (illness) has been confirmed as the starting pitcher for Monday's spring game against the Orioles, according to Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson has yet to appear in a game this spring while recovering from E. coli, but he is now ready to get up on the bump for the first time. It's unlikely he will go more than an inning or two in Monday's contest, but if all goes smoothly, he will presumably be on track to be ready by Opening Day.

Gibson (illness) is scheduled to take the mound in Monday's spring game against the Orioles, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson was scratched from the first week of spring games due to a bout of E. coli in January. Barring a setback, the 31-year-old's return to action should solidify his status for the start of the regular season as he is set to play a major role in the Twins' starting rotation.
