Gibson (12-6) earned the win Saturday against the Tigers after allowing five runs (four earned) on 10 hits over 5.1 innings. He had eight strikeouts and zero walks.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson was never truly on form Saturday as he gave up at least one hit in each inning, but the eight strikeouts and two double plays helped salvage the outing. The 31-year-old has a 4.49 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 141:45 K:BB across 144.1 innings and lines up to face Detroit again Friday.

Gibson (11-6) took the loss against the White Sox on Monday, giving up five earned runs on six hits over 6.2 innings, striking out four and walking one as the Twins fell 6-4.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson worked deep into the game, but he yielded four earned runs in the third inning, which wound up ruining his final stat line and sending him to his sixth loss of the season. It's the second time in his last three starts the right-hander has given up five earned, bumping his ERA up to 4.40 to go along with a 1.31 WHIP and 133:45 K:BB across 139 innings on the season.

Gibson allowed three earned runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out three across five innings Wednesday against the Brewers. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson struggled with his control early, walking a batter in each of the first two frames and also throwing a wild pitch. While he allowed two of his three earned runs in his final three frames, the majority of the damage he allowed came on singles. Gibson has turned in consecutive short outings, lasting just 9.1 innings across his last two starts while surrendering eight earned runs and nine walks. Despite the bumpy patch, he maintains a respectable 4.28 ERA and 1.32 WHIP across 132.1 innings for the season. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, currently scheduled for Monday against the White Sox.

Gibson (11-5) was charged with the loss against the Indians on Thursday after allowing six runs (five earned) on four hits and six walks while striking out two over 4.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander rendered himself ineffective this time around with a career-high six free passes to take his first loss since June 19. Gibson had thrown a season-high 110 pitches over 6.2 innings in his last start, but exited Thursday's game after his 85th pitch in the fifth. The 31-year-old still holds a solid 11-5 record over 24 appearances along with a 4.24 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 41:17 K:BB. Gibson will hit the road for a showdown with the Brewers on Wednesday.

Gibson allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits with two walks and six strikeouts across 6.2 innings while earning a victory against the Royals on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins spotted Gibson plenty of runs, which allowed Minnesota to give Gibson a bit of a leash. He pitched well, but also longer into a game (by pitches) than he has all season, throwing a season-high 110 pitches. Since giving up five runs to the Yankees on July 23, Gibson has yielded two runs in his last 12.2 innings (1.42 ERA). He owns a 4.02 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 124 strikeouts in 123 innings this season. Gibson will pitch again Thursday against the Indians.

Gibson (10-4) gave up one run on seven hits and one walk while striking out nine through six innings to take the win over the White Sox on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson silenced the White Sox through five innings and allowed the lone run in his last frame. The Twins are 9-2 in the last 11 starts Gibson has made. The right-hander has a 4.10 ERA and a 9.1 K/9 through 21 starts this season. Gibson will make his next start Saturday against the Royals at Target Field.

Gibson allowed five earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out three across five innings Tuesday against the Yankees. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson was hit hard out of the gate, allowing two doubles and two earned runs in the first inning. He settled in to post three scoreless frames before surrendering a three-run homer to Didi Gregorious, effectively ending his evening. Gibson remains frustratingly inconsistent, as he has posted three quality starts in his last nine outings but also surrendered three or more earned runs on three occasions. All told, he has a 4.02 ERA and 1.23 WHIP across 105.1 innings for the season. He'll draw a softer matchup his next time out, as he's currently scheduled to start Sunday at the White Sox.

Gibson (9-4) earned the win against Oakland on Thursday, hurling seven innings and giving up three runs on six hits and no walks while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The damage against Gibson came on a pair of extra-base hits -- a run-scoring double by Khris Davis in the fourth inning and a two-run homer by Jurickson Profar in the sixth -- but the 31-year-old was otherwise effective, limiting Oakland to four singles without issuing a walk. He was credited with the win after Minnesota plated three runs in the seventh inning on a three-run homer by Eddie Rosario. Gibson has posted a 4.02 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 106:29 K:BB in 105.1 innings this season and is next scheduled to face the Yankees on Tuesday.

Gibson gave up three runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out five in 3.2 innings Friday in Cleveland. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
He got off to a good start, but labored in the fourth inning and was lifted after hitting No. 9 hitter Greg Allen with a pitch on a two-strike count. Gibson has acknowledged that he has been struggling with his mechanics recently, per Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com, and that may have been the case again in this start, as he needed 80 pitches to get 11 outs. His next start will come Thursday against the A's.

Gibson will start Sunday against the Rangers but will pitch just two innings, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins will take advantage of the upcoming break to try some unconventional tactics. Gibson will open the game but won't pitch for long, as he'll be on just three days' rest. Devin Smeltzer is expected to follow him.
