Dodgers signed INF Justin Turner to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. This confirms a report by Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors. Turner is a stretch as a regular, but he's a decent enough utility man and should come in handy assuming he makes the Opening Day roster.

According to Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors, the Dodgers have reached an agreement with infielder Justin Turner. No word yet on if it's a major league deal. Turner was non-tendered by the Mets in December after hitting .280/.319/.385 with a pair of homers and 16 RBI in 214 plate appearances last season. He'll function as a utility infielder with Los Angeles.

Darren Wolfson of 1500ESPN reports that the Twins have checked in on free agent infielder Justin Turner. Wolfson is quick to note that he's unsure of the Twins level of interest however. The 28-year-old slashed a respectable .280/.319/.385 with a pair of homers and 16 RBI in 200 at-bats with the Mets in 2013. He has the ability to play all four infield positions and would be a nice addition as a utility man.

Tim Dierkes of MLBTradeRumors.com reports that Justin Turner has received interest from 10 teams. The Mets decided to cut Turner loose even though MLBTradeRumors.com projected him to earn just $800,000 in his first year of arbitration, and it appears he'll have no trouble finding a new gig. The 28-year-old batted .280/.319/.385 with two homers and 16 RBI over 214 plate appearances this past season.

Mets non-tendered INF Justin Turner. It's a minor surprise, as Turner likely would have made under $1 million in his first year of arbitration. Still, the Mets didn't think he did enough to justify returning. The 28-year-old batted .280/.319/.385 with two homers and 16 RBI over 214 plate appearances this season while making starts at all four infield positions. He shouldn't have any trouble finding an opportunity on the open market.

Andy Martino of the New York Daily News was told by a Mets source that the team projects Justin Turner to make under $1 million in his first year of arbitration. There's no guarantee that Turner will be back with the Mets next year, but the team doesn't see his projected salary as an overpay. The 28-year-old batted .280/.319/.385 with two homers and 16 RBI over 214 plate appearances this season while making starts at all four infield positions.

Justin Turner (hamstring) still isn't ready for game action. Turner has been sidelined since September 10 when he suffered a strained right hamstring. He's making progress in his recovery, but the training staff hasn't quite cleared him just yet. Expect Turner to return at some point over the final week of the season.
