Turner went 1-for-2 with a steal and a run scored in a 2-1 win over the Giants on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
There was some speculation that Turner would sit against righties in his return from the DL, but it appears he's the everyday third baseman for the Dodgers at this juncture, and rightfully so. With an average just shy of .300 and an OPS just shy of .900, Turner is easily having the best season of his career.

Turner is out of the lineup Sunday against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Turner will receive his first day off in a while, but remains a decent stick in the Dodgers' batting order (.295/.357/.515 batting line on the season). However, he's been ice cold at the dish in August, batting just .157 with two home runs on the month. Enrique Hernandez will receive the start in his place Sunday, but Turner should continue receive the lion's share of looks as he attempts to turn things back around in September.

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Justin Turner, out since July 26 with a leg infection, was activated from the 15-day disabled list Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Times. Turner had a leg irritation that turned into an MRSA infection. He worked out at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday, though doctors have given him several restrictions. "It was scary. It's not a joking matter," said Turner. "I didn't think it was that bad until I came in after the off day and [trainer] Stan [Conte] told me I had to get to the emergency room. A couple days later, I was told it was MRSA. That's a pretty scary situation and they got me on all kinds of medicine to get rid of it. It [the restrictions] turned a workout that probably would have taken an hour to three and a half hours."

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Justin Turner will be out at least a few more days as he recovers from an infection in his leg, according to the team's official website. Turner first noticed a pimple on his inner thigh earlier this week, and was sent to the emergency room on Tuesday after the pimple blew up and caused an infection in his leg. “Over the off day, something went wrong,” manager Don Mattingly said. “When he came in [Monday], he was a lot worse. I saw him when I got here. It was something that kind of blew up, and it wasn’t very pretty, so they sent him to the emergency room. We should know more by the end of the night. He should be out a few more days... He thought it was a bug bite.” Alex Guerrero and Alberto Callaspo should see additional playing time while Turner is out.
