Turner is out of the lineup Sunday against the Padres, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turner has seen a slight reduction in at-bats in September with late-summer additions Chase Utley and Corey Seager making a case for playing time at third base, but he's still the Dodgers' likely starter at the position heading into the playoffs. He's batted an excellent .294 this season and has hit 16 homers while driving in 60 runs.

Turner went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in a 2-1 win over San Diego on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Turner just continues his breakout season, as this marks his 16th dinger of the year. Since joining the Dodgers last season Turner has been a completely different player, as he has doubled most of his career numbers in that two-year span. It remains to be seen what they'll do with him next year considering all the young depth the Dodgers have, but he's definitely played well enough to earn en everyday role yet again.

Turner went 1-for-3 with a walk, two RBI and a run scored in a 6-3 win over the Padres on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Turner has been in and out of the lineup over the past couple of months with random nicks and bruises, so the solid performance is a nice sign going into the postseason. The third baseman continues to have a breakout year, as he's hitting .291 with 15 homers and 59 RBI this season.

EDGE Analysis
Turner will take a seat for the afternoon contest, allowing Chase Utley and his left-handed bat to work his way into the lineup. As the corner infield spots get healthier, Turner will continue to face increased competition for reps at the hot corner.
