Reddick (hand) is no longer expected to come off the disabled list Monday, John Hickey of the San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reddick was scheduled to fly back to Oakland on Sunday in preparation for returning to action Monday against the Giants, but it appears his return could be delayed after a discouraging performance during his rehab assignment. The outfielder, who has missed five weeks with a fractured left thumb, has recorded only one hit in 17 at-bats over his four games with Nashville, and indicated he didn't want to return from the DL until he feels good at the plate. Fortunately, Reddick has experienced no physical setbacks to this point, so there's still a could chance that he rejoins the A's within a few days.

Reddick (hand) remains on track to return from the DL on Monday, Joe Stiglich of CSN California reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Reddick's done little of note in his three rehab games with Triple-A Nashville (1-for-11 with four strikeouts), the A's seem content in the fact that the thumb has held up. Reddick was hitting .320/.394/.466 before landing on the shelf and may draw significant interest at the trade deadline if he can prove he's back to full health.

Reddick (hand) is starting Monday's game with Triple-A Nashville as a designated hitter
EDGE Analysis
This will be the first game of Reddick's rehab assignment, giving him the chance to test his timing at the plate after missing over a month with a fractured thumb. His exact return date has yet to be set, but there's no reason to believe he'll miss the expected timeframe of late June.

Reddick (hand) is tentatively scheduled to begin a rehab assignment Sunday with Triple-A Nashville, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It seems Reddick has made substantial progress in the past few days -- he just started swinging off a tee Monday. The A's are keeping their options open with the "tentative" label to the Sunday start date, but Reddick appears on track to return at some point next week after missing just over a month with a fractured left thumb.

Reddick (thumb) was able to take swings off a tee but remains without a timetable for a rehab assignment, Joe Stiglich of CSN California reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reddick, who missed the first 20 games this season with a back injury, says that hitting is not an issue at this point, which is positive news considering his .322 average. He fractured the thumb sliding into second base last Thursday but appears to be making strides towards a quick return.

Reddick (thumb) will not require surgery, Susan Slusser of the SF Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reddick suffered a fracture in his thumb when he slid head-first into second base in Thursday's game against the Yankees. However, John Hickey of Bay Area News Group reports that the fracture is not in the joint but rather, the tip, which means that the recovery time is only four weeks. The 29-year-old will likely begin his rehab process in the coming weeks and possibly return to the majors by late-June.

Reddick (fractured thumb) was placed on the 15-day DL on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
A head-first slide into second base Thursday resulted in a fractured left thumb for Reddick, and he's expected miss 4-to-6 weeks as a result. Jake Smolinski was recalled in a corresponding move, and he may see some starts against lefties, but Billy Burns recently made his first career start in right field, and it's possible he could see a good chunk of time there in the short term.

Reddick has been diagnosed with a fractured left thumb, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a huge loss for the A's as Reddick entered Thursday leading the club in batting average (.322), OBP (.394), and hits (47) and he was near the top in nearly every other major offensive category. He suffered the injury Thursday on a stolen base attempt in the seventh inning against the Yankees when he appeared to jam his hand on the base. According to Lee, Reddick will see a hand specialist Friday to determine the amount of time he'll miss, but with a fractured thumb, a stint on the disabled list seems almost inevitable. Chris Coghlan, Tyler Ladendorf, and Matt McBride are all candidates to take over in right field while Reddick is on the shelf.

Reddick exited Thursday's game with an apparent left hand injury, Mark Chiarelli of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reddick suffered the injury while sliding into second base on a steal attempt in the seventh inning. Not only did Reddick catch one of Starlin Castro's cleats to the forehead on the slide, he also appeared to jam his hand on the base. Although he was able to stay in as a baserunner, Tyler Ladendorf came on to replace him in the field at the top of the next inning. There is no word yet on the extent of Reddick's injury, but more information figures to be released following Thursday's contest.

Reddick is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Reddick has played in eight games in the last eight days and has just one hit in his last nine at-bats, so manager Bob Melvin determined it was an appropriate time to rest the outfielder, especially with a lefty in Matt Moore on the mound for the Rays. In Reddick's stead, Billy Burns will move over from center field to cover right field.
