Hamilton, who resumed playing May 10, is presumably ready to enter the final stage of his recovery from shoulder surgery. Assuming everything goes well this weekend, it seems likely he will return to action during the Rangers' upcoming series with the Indians that begins Monday.

Rangers GM Jon Daniels said that Hamilton (shoulder) is "likely" to return from the disabled list during the team's series with the Indians beginning May 25, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports. The Rangers won't make a formal ruling on a possible return date for Hamilton until Wednesday, but he looked strong during his rehab game at Double-A Frisco on Saturday, going 4-for-5 with four singles. Hamilton is expected to assume an everyday role in left field with the big club once he's activated.
