Edgin threw two shutout innings of relief in Friday's loss to the Marlins, giving up one hit and one walk while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
He entered the game to start the eighth inning with the Mets down 7-1, which tells you all you need to know about Edgin's place in the bullpen pecking order. The 30-year-old lefty has tossed three shutout innings to begin the season, but unless he's able to move into a more high-leverage role his fantasy value will be very limited.

Edgin and the Mets avoided arbitration with the Mets on Friday, Adam Rubin of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
After logging at least 20 innings in each season between 2012 and 2014, Edgin saw zero innings in 2015 and just 10.1 in 2016. Those 2016 innings didn't go too well either, as he allowed six earned runs and also walked six, so don't expect too large a figure in his settlement with the Mets.

Edgin will be recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Edgin failed to crack the Mets' 25-man roster out of spring training while he recovered from Tommy John surgery and wasn't effective when he did make his return to the big leagues earlier this season. Over 3.2 innings with the Mets, Edgin has been tagged for four runs on three hits and four walks. Don't expect him to see much high-leverage work down the stretch.

The Mets have recalled Edgin from Triple-A Las Vegas, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Edgin has been pitching really well at Triple-A, accumulating a 2.13 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 12.2 innings over his last 10 outings. He will head back to New York where he hasn't pitched since 2014. Edgin owns a 3.20 ERA in 81.2 career major league innings.

Edgin has been effective at Triple-A Las Vegas but his velocity is only in the low-90s, which is why he may not be considered for a call up, the NY Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Edgin, prior to Tommy John surgery, topped out around 95 mph. The drop in velocity, despite the 2.45 ERA and 22 K in 22 innings pitched, is likely why he remains in the minors despite the Mets needing another bullpen arm.

Edgin (elbow) was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Edgin finished his rehab assignment Sunday, but the Mets are set with the current bullpen and opted to send the 29-year-old lefty down to Triple-A. Antonio Bastardo and Jerry Blevins will continue to serve as the left-handed specialists in the Mets bullpen.

Edgin (elbow) could remain in the minors when his rehab assignment concludes Sunday, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Unfortunately for Edgin, manager Terry Collins stated that the left-hander won'tt return to New York until he has pitched on consecutive days, which he hasn't been able to do yet. Collins also said that there's not really a vacancy in the Mets bullpen, meaning that Edgin could be locked a bit longer in Triple-A until he's absolutely needed. Between all of this and the fact that his fastball is only sitting around 88 miles per hour, it'll be tough for Edgin to crack the Mets bullpen in the near future.

Edgin (elbow) struck out the lone batter he faced at High-A St. Lucie on Thursday and could move his rehab up a level.
EDGE Analysis
Edgin is on a 30-day rehab assignment and has allowed one run on two hits and a walk while striking out five in 3.1 innings for St. Lucie. Look for him to move up the ladder to Double-A Binghamton and then Triple-A Las Vegas. Edgin could be ready to return to the majors around May 1 and a promotion could come at the expense of Rafael Montero, if he isn't demoted Friday for Jacob deGrom.

Edgin threw 27 pitches in two-thirds of an inning during a rehab assignment with High-A St. Lucie, Adam Rubin of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Edgin was not overly effective, as he gave up a hit, a walk, and a sacrifice fly in the outing, but the appearance does show some progress in his return from Tommy John surgery. He still has a few more rehab appearances scheduled, but the Mets still estimate that the left-hander will return around May 1.

Edgin was scheduled to begin his rehab assignment at High-A St. Lucie on Sunday, ESPN.com's Adam Rubin reports.
EDGE Analysis
Edgin, who is recovering from March 2015 Tommy John surgery, will likely face a limited pitch count in his first appearance with St. Lucie. The reliever is expected to climb to several different levels of the farm system over the next couple of weeks while showing that he's fully healthy after the year-long absence. The Mets are hoping to activate Edgin from the 15-day DL in early May and use him out of the bullpen.
