Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports that the Brewers and Jonathan Lucroy have agreed on a contract extension.
The Brewers have yet to make an official announcement. Terms aren't yet known, but Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com previously reported that the deal will either be for four or five years, which could potentially cover all of his arbitration seasons. The 25-year-old backstop has a .260/.307/.366 batting line over his first 765 plate appearances in the majors and is highly-regarded for his contributions behind the plate.

Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports report that the Brewers are nearing an extension with catcher Jonathan Lucroy.
The deal will be either for four or five years, according to Rosenthal. Lucroy is arbitration eligible for the first time after the 2013 season and can hit free agency after the 2016 season. A four-year deal, then, would cover his remaining arbitration years. Lucroy, 25, hit .265/.313/.391 over 468 plate appearances last season.

Jonathan Lucroy erupted in Friday's 12-2 win over the Indians, going 3-for-4 with a home run, double, two runs scored and two RBI.
The extra-base hits were Lucroy's third and fourth of the spring, while he's now hitting an eye-popping .636 through his first 11 at-bats. Lucroy is worth a draft pick in two-catcher mixed leagues.

Jonathan Lucroy doubled and singled in two at-bats Sunday, giving him three of the Brewers' five total bases.
Unfortunately, manager Ron Roenicke is leaning towards batting Lucroy eighth behind Alex Gonzalez and his likely .270-.290 OBP. Lucroy isn't a bad little player, but that's going to be a tough situation for his fantasy value.

Jonathan Lucroy and Randy Wolf have had trouble getting on the same page, which led to George Kottaras getting the start Saturday with Wolf on the mound.
Brewers manager Ron Roenicke wouldn't say that Kotteras would be Wolf's personal catcher, but after Wolf pitched well again and Kotteras hit a home run, it's possible they could become a regular combination. "I think 'Luc' is ready to take that next step but we're trying to keep 'Wolfie' as sharp as we can for as long as we can," Roenicke said.
