Cannon came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Royals, allowing one run on one hit and three walks over seven innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie right-hander put together one of his best starts so far in the majors, exiting the game with a 2-1 lead after tossing 94 pitches (59 strikes), but the White Sox bullpen immediately fell apart in the top of the eighth inning. Cannon gave Chicago six or more innings in all five of his July starts, posting a 3.48 ERA and 1.23 WHIP through 31 innings on the month despite a poor 14:11 K:BB, and he's establishing himself as one of the most reliable rotation options on a rebuilding club. He's scheduled to make his next start on the road early next week in Oakland.

Cannon (1-5) took the loss Thursday against the Rangers, allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Cannon was excellent at limiting damage, inducing three double plays and turning in his fourth quality start of the year despite tying his season low in strikeouts. The rookie entered Thursday's outing having not allowed a home run in three straight starts but that streak was broken in the third inning when Marcus Semien lifted a solo homer. In eight starts since being recalled from Triple-A on June 7, Cannon has a 3.88 ERA with a 27:11 K:BB across 46.1 innings. He's on pace to face the Royals on Tuesday.

Cannon allowed four runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out four batters over six innings in a loss to the Royals on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Cannon looked like he could be in for a short outing after giving up four runs through two frames, but he recovered thereafter and didn't allow any additional runners to score for the rest of his start. The right-hander completed exactly six innings for the third straight appearance, though he has just one quality start during that span. Cannon has been doing enough to maintain his spot in Chicago's rotation, but he hasn't been an impactful arm in fantasy, as he has an unimpressive 6.9 K/9 and a mediocre 4.41 ERA through 51.0 innings.

Cannon is scheduled to start Saturday's game against the Royals in Kansas City, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
In his final appearance before the All-Star break last Friday versus the Pirates, Cannon worked out of the bullpen as a piggyback pitcher behind starter Garrett Crochet, tossing six innings while allowing four earned runs. Cannon will now take back a rotation spot in the White Sox's opening series of the second half, as he'll be picking up his ninth start of the season Friday. The White Sox have already confirmed Cannon for another start for next Thursday in Texas, but it's unclear if he'll stick around in the rotation thereafter.

Cannon (1-3) took the loss Friday as the White Sox were downed 4-1 by the Pirates, giving up four runs on seven hits and two walks over six relief innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Starter Garrett Crochet was on a strict pitch count and got the hook after two perfect innings, but Cannon was able to save the rest of the bullpen by tossing 92 pitches (57 strikes). Manager Pedro Grifol has indicated that Crochet's workload is going to be monitored the rest of the way, or at least for as long as the southpaw is with the White Sox, and with Mike Clevinger (elbow) close to coming off the IL, Cannon could remain the first option to work in tandem with Crochet in a piggyback role. Through 51 innings in the majors this season, the rookie right-hander has a 4.41 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 39:13 K:BB.

Cannon allowed a run on three hits and four walks over six innings in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out three in the loss against Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Cannon kept the Marlins off the board until the fourth inning when he coughed up an RBI double to Vidal Brujan. Cannon hadn't walked more than two batters in any MLB appearance this season prior to Sunday's outing. He issued only three free passes over his previous 25.1 frames. Despite the shaky command, he bounced back after giving up 11 runs (eight earned) over his previous two starts. Cannon lowered his ERA to 4.20 with a 35:11 K:BB through 45 innings. He's currently lined up for a home start against the Pirates next weekend.

Cannon did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 11-3 win over the Rockies, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Cannon surrendered a solo home run to Brendan Rodgers in the second inning and a two-run homer to Nolan Jones in the fifth. He departed before the White Sox erupted for 11 runs, but it was nice to see the rookie rebound with a solid effort after allowing eight runs (five earned) in one inning June 23. On the season, the 23-year-old owns a 4.62 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 32:7 K:BB through 39 innings and lines up to face the Marlins next week.

Cannon (1-2) was tagged with the loss after he pitched one inning, giving up eight runs (five earned) on seven hits while striking out one batter in Sunday's 11-2 defeat to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Cannon ran into trouble early Sunday, surrendering five runs in the first inning while serving up two home runs. He returned to the mound for the second frame, allowing three straight singles before being pulled from the contest. Cannon's performance against Detroit was quite the 180 degree shift from his last outing Tuesday versus the Astros, when he pitched 8.2 scoreless innings. On the season, Cannon now owns a 4.59 ERA and 1.41 WHIP with 29 strikeouts over 33.1 innings in seven appearances, including six starts, with the White Sox. With Mike Clevinger (elbow) nearing a return from the 15-day injured list, it's unclear if Cannon will get another turn in the rotation.

Cannon (1-1) earned his first career win Tuesday against Houston, allowing seven hits and one walk over 8.2 scoreless innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old rookie tossed the best game of his short career, leading the charge for the first White Sox shutout since May 21. Cannon has displayed masterful control in the majors, allowing just six walks in 32.1 innings. The Chicago right-hander now sports a 3.34 ERA and 1.24 WHIP this season. He is currently scheduled to make his next start against the Tigers on the road this weekend. Although Mike Clevinger (elbow) is rehabbing and nearing a return, Cannon's strong performance to date may keep him in the White Sox rotation long term.

Cannon is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Astros in Chicago, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After initially working out of the bullpen and recording a three-inning save following his call-up from Triple-A Charlotte on June 7, Cannon entered the rotation Wednesday and came through with a dazzling performance, striking out seven while limiting the Mariners to one run on four hits and one walk over seven innings. He'll stick around in the rotation on the heels of the stellar showing, and Cannon could get at least one more start beyond Tuesday due to Mike Clevinger (elbow) being unlikely to return from the injured list until the final week of June. Cannon will tentatively line up for a two-start week, with his second outing likely to come next Sunday in Detroit.
