Jay is not in the lineup Monday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
After starting the last four games, Jay will head to the bench as youngster Albert Almora takes over in center field. The 32-year-old is enjoying a nice start to the season at the plate, slashing .322/.437/.407 through 59 at-bats.

Jay is starting in center field and hitting sixth in Sunday night's game against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Albert Almora is taking a seat with righty Luis Severino on the hill, so the lefty Jay will be in there. The veteran is slashing .359/.468/.462 against righthanded pitchers this season.

Jay is playing left field and leading off for the Cubs on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
He slides over to fill in for Kyle Schwarber against right-hander Zach Eflin. The platoon advantage could make Jay a decent cheap play for DFS contests.

Jay is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Jay is batting a scorching hot bat as of late, as he's posted a an excellent .429 batting average over the past week despite part-time duty. He'll get replaced by Jason Heyward in center field with Ben Zobrist filling the void in right field, although it's hard to believe Joe Maddon will leave Jay on the bench too frequently if he continues to mash the baseball even with the other solid options at his disposal.

Jay is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Despite going 3-for-7 in his last four games, Jay will head to the bench in favor of Albert Almora. The two should continue to split time, though Jay remains the less intriguing fantasy option.

Jay is not in the Cubs' lineup Thursday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
It's not surprising, considering Chicago matches up with left-handed pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu. Jay will sit often against southpaws, giving way to Albert Almora, who carries more upside at the plate.

Jay, who is expected to platoon with Albert Almora in center field to begin the season, may be positioned as the team's No. 9 hitter.
EDGE Analysis
As the left-handed hitting member of the platoon, Jay is currently positioned for the larger share of the playing time, but hitting behind the pitcher spot as opposed to leading off would chip away at Jay's ability to pile up a lot of runs scored. Nevertheless, how he performs at the plate will likely dictate how much playing time, if any, he yields to Almora against righties as the season rolls along.

Jay signed a one-year contract with the Cubs on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Jay dealt with a broken forearm for much of 2016, which resulted in him playing in less than 100 games for the second consecutive season. However, Jay was solid at the plate when healthy. By the end of the year, he'd built a .291/.339/.389 line, but struck out at a career-high clip of 20.9 percent. Now that he's a member of the Cubs, Jay will only add to one of the league's deepest outfields, as he's expected to share time in center field with Albert Almora.

Jay is out of the lineup for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Jay will sit out two of the final three-game series for the Padres, playing just 90 games (possibly 91) in 2016 due to injury. Manuel Margot will replace him in center field, leading off for San Diego.

Jay is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Jay tallied two hits in three of the last four games he started, but with the regular season winding down, manager Andy Green will hold him out Friday for the third time in five games. Travis Jankowski will get the start in center field in Jay's place.
