Gray will start Saturday against the Mets, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gray felt a "hot spot" on his middle finger during his most recent start, so the Rockies want to give him a couple of extra days of rest before sending him back out to the mound. Peter Lambert will take the mound Thursday against the Cubs as a result, with Antonio Senzatela starting Friday's series opener in New York. Assuming Gray checks out OK during a between-starts bullpen in the coming days, he shouldn't face any restrictions during Saturday's outing.

Gray (5-4) picked up the win in Saturday's 4-2 victory over the Blue Jays, giving up two hits and three walks over 6.2 scoreless innings while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The Jays managed a small one-out rally in the second inning after Cavan Biggio and Lourdes Gurriel executed a double steal, but Gray ended the threat with two strikeouts and then didn't allow another baserunner until the fifth. The right-hander's night ended after he issued two free passes in the seventh and reported another 'hot spot' on his middle finger, the precursor to a blister. "It really sucks, but it's part of the game," Gray said. "There's always going to be some kind of adversity." Assuming he's good to go, he'll next take the mound Thursday, on the road against the Cubs.

Gray said that the blister he experienced during his most recent start has healed and won't impact his availability for his next scheduled turn Saturday against the Blue Jays, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gray developed the blister midway through the sixth inning of Monday's 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks, resulting in him departing after 84 pitches despite having limited the opposition to two runs on five hits and two walks. While the finger issue forced him to limit his throwing between starts, it's not expected to hinder him or impact his pitch count when he returns to the hill this weekend. The fact that the start will come at Coors Field should probably give Gray's fantasy managers more caution about deploying him than any concern about the blister resurfacing.

Gray was removed after 5.1 innings Monday due to a "hot spot" on a finger of his pitching hand, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skipper Bud Black noted that the issue was impacting some of Gray's pitches, so he elected to remove his right-hander from the ballgame. It's unclear at this point whether Gray will be able to make his next scheduled start.

Gray gave up two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two through 5.1 innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Gray had only allowed one run on two hits when he allowed three consecutive singles in the sixth inning that forced his removal from the game after only 84 pitches. Even though he wasn't dominant with only three swinging strikes, he generated some soft contact and limited the number of hits. The right-hander has a 4-4 record with a 4.52 ERA through 11 starts this season. Gray will make his next start Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Gray (4-4) picked up the win against the Pirates on Wednesday, giving up three earned runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one as the Rockies prevailed 9-3.
EDGE Analysis
Gray was tagged for five earned runs by the Phillies in his last outing, but he bounced back with a quality start in this contest to even up his record at 4-4. It's been an erratic start to the season for the 27-year-old righty, who had given up five earned in three of his last four starts before this one, but hopefully this strong effort is a sign he's set to get on track and hack into the 4.62 ERA and 1.34 WHIP he's currently sporting over 60.1 innings.

Gray (3-4) allowed five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out eight over 4.2 innings Friday in a loss to the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Gray was spotted an early 2-0 lead, but he allowed a two-run blast in the third inning followed by a run in the fourth and two in the fifth prior to exiting. He tossed 98 pitches (61 strikes) but was unable to finish out the fifth inning. The 27-year-old right-hander has given up five runs in three of his last four starts, raising his ERA from 2.78 to 4.73.

Gray didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Padres, giving up three runs on eight hits and a walk over six innings while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was making his first start since May 2 and fired 60 of 89 pitches for strikes, but Gray caught a little too much of the plate at times as the Padres took him deep twice. He's now delivered five quality starts in eight trips to the mound, and he'll take a 4.25 ERA and 51:19 K:BB through 48.2 innings into his next outing Friday in Philadelphia.

Gray won't make his scheduled start Wednesday against the Giants as the game was postponed due to inclement weather.
EDGE Analysis
Gray will now get some extra rest after giving up five runs in each of his past two starts. According to Nick Groke of The Athletic, Kyle Freeland will stay on schedule and pitch Thursday for the Rockies, while Gray should retake the mound this weekend versus the Padres.

Gray (3-3) got the win against the Brewers on Thursday, despite giving up five runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings in an 11-6 victory for the Rockies. He struck out nine and walked two.
EDGE Analysis
Gray had his final line ruined by a three-run third inning, but he did manage to strike out nine batters and pick up his third win of the season, as his lineup provided him with a hefty amount of run support. It was the second straight start in which the right-hander has given up five earned, giving him a 4.22 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP through 42.2 innings. He'll look to get on track in his next outing, which will come at home against the Giants on Wednesday.
