Gray (0-2) allowed eight runs on 11 hits across 3.1 innings Monday, striking out two and taking the loss against Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
The Diamondbacks wasted no time Monday, scoring two runs in the first inning, including a lead-off homer by Kole Calhoun. Things didn't get better for Gray as he allowed three runs in the third inning and another three runs before exiting in the fourth. Still looking for his first win of the year, the 28-year-old righty will face the Rangers at home Sunday.

Gray (0-1) was charged with four runs (three earned) on five hits over six innings in a loss to the Giants on Wednesday. He struck out two and did not issue a walk.
EDGE Analysis
Most of the damage was done in the fourth inning; a Trevor Story fielding error was followed by a Donovan Solano single and a Brandon Belt homer. It was the first homer given up by Gray this season, but he has just seven strikeouts in 16.1 innings. Hopefully he can dial his strikeout rate back up, because all of that contact in Coors Field is a losing formula. Gray gets two more at home next week (vs, ARI, vs. TEX).

Gray didn't factor into the decision in Friday's contest between the Rockies and the Padres. He allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and one walk while fanning two across 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gray's numbers have not impressed thus far, as he has given up three earned runs while walking four and fanning five in 10.1 innings across his first two starts. He will continue looking for his first win of the season in his next scheduled start, set for Aug. 5 at home against the Giants.

Gray didn't factor into the decision during Saturday's game between the Rockies and the Rangers. He allowed one run on three hits and three walks while fanning three across 4.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gray didn't impress in the season opener and couldn't even complete five innings, as he departed the contest shortly after allowing a run on an RBI single from Shin-Soo Choo. Gray's next start is scheduled July 31 at home against the Padres.

Manager Bud Black said that Gray will start the Rockies' second game of the season Saturday in Texas, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gray has actually fared slightly better at Coors Field (.319 wOBA) than on the road (.324) throughout his career, but fantasy managers in season-long leagues will still have reason to fear ratio damage any time he pitches at altitude. While no park factor data is available yet on the Rangers' new home, Globe Life Field, the fact that it has a retractable roof is expected to make it a more pitcher-friendly venue than its predecessor. At least in NL-only or deeper mixed leagues, Gray looks like a viable streaming option in his first start of 2020.

Gray allowed one run on two hits with one strikeout and zero walks over two innings during his only Cactus League appearance prior to the suspension of spring training.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old underwent left foot surgery in August and had a delayed start to spring training, but he made his Cactus League debut March 1 and was on track to begin the regular season healthy. Gray had a 3.84 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 150:56 K:BB across 150 innings prior to the injury last season, and he has a solidified spot near the top of the Rockies' starting rotation once the season resumes.

Gray will make his Cactus League debut Monday against the Mariners, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old had a delayed start to spring training after undergoing left foot surgery in August, but his return to the mound Monday should put him on track for the start of the regular season. Gray was sharp in 2019 with a 3.84 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 150:56 K:BB over 150 innings (25 starts).

Gray (foot) signed a one-year, $5.6 million contract with the Rockies on Friday, avoiding arbitration, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gray turned in one of the best years of his young career in 2019, registering a 3.84 ERA and 1.35 WHIP with 150 strikeouts over 150 frames. He'll begin the 2020 campaign near the front end of Colorado's starting rotation, assuming he's healthy. Gray underwent foot surgery in August but should be ready for spring training.

Gray will undergo surgery Friday to repair his fractured left foot, but he's expected to have a normal offseason, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gray has made it clear that he thinks he can have surgery without it affecting his availability for the 2020 season. He finishes the year with a 3.84 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 150:56 K:BB across 150 innings.

Gray (foot) was placed on the 60-day injured list Wednesday with a left foot fracture.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear when or how Gray suffered the injury -- the right-hander fired eight shutout innings his last time out -- but he'll miss the remainder of the season as a result. He missed a start earlier in the month due to left ankle soreness, though it's not yet known if the two issues are related. According to Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post, Gray is leaning towards undergoing surgery to address the fracture. The 27-year-old was in the midst of a bounce-back season after struggling in 2018; he'll finish the year with a 3.84 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 150:56 K:BB across 150 innings. Tim Melville was summoned from the minors in a corresponding move and will start in place of Gray on Wednesday.
