Hazelbaker will make his first major league start Wednesday, batting eighth and playing center field, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The Cardinals appear to be giving Randal Grichuk the day off, so Hazelbaker will slot into the lineup to replace him. The rookie got his first hit out of the way already, but now he'll look to produce in a full game as well. He mashed at Triple-A last season, but it seems most of his playing time will come when the starters need a day off, which doesn't bode well for his value going forward.

Dodgers acquired OF Jeremy Hazelbaker from the Dodgers in exchange for OF Alex Castellanos. Hazelbaker, a fourth-round pick in the 2009 MLB Amateur Draft, batted .257/.313/.374 with 11 home runs and 37 stolen bases in 121 games this summer at the Triple-A level. His speed could get him to the majors quickly, but he's doubtful to become a major league regular.
