Odorizzi allowed just one hit Sunday against the Yankees over seven innings, but it was a two-run homer by Starlin Castro that provided the margin of defeat.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi retired the first 16 batters he faced before one batter reached on an error. He allowed just the one hit and one walk, while striking out six.

Odorizzi (2-2) allowed no runs on two hits and three walks while striking out seven to earn the win Tuesday at the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi threw 107 pitches to force his early exit despite keeping the Marlins off the board, and the bullpen barely held onto his three-run lead as the Rays squeaked out a victory. He's now allowed two or fewer runs in five of his last six starts, and he owns a 3.46 ERA to go along with a 1.21 WHIP.

Odorizzi (1-2) notched his first win of the year Wednesday against Toronto, though he only lasted five innings, allowing two runs on two hits and four walks while striking out just two.
EDGE Analysis
The win against a tough offense is nice, but both hits Odorizzi allowed were homers -- he's now given up five long balls in his last nine innings. Meanwhile, his strikeout rate has stalled out badly since his 10-whiff season debut against these same Blue Jays. He's struck out four or fewer hitters in five of his eight starts and has just eight strikeouts in total over his last three outings. Odorizzi's track record of high strikeout totals will get him plenty of leash from his fantasy owners, but he's certainly a long way from the breakout we hoped was imminent this year.

Odorizzi (0-2) surrendered seven hits, five earned runs and a walk over four innings in Friday's 6-3 loss to the A's. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The hard-throwing righty simply couldn't keep the ball in the yard, giving up two of the three gopher balls he surrendered right from the jump in the opening frame. Down 4-0 after just one inning as a result of the long ball, he evened things out a bit over the next three innings, but had an early exit after having thrown 97 pitches overall during his four innings on the mound. The 26-year-old was coming off consecutive quality starts and had surrendered just three homers in his first seven starts combined prior to Friday, so the outing could simply be an outlier that he'll recover from. He'll try to right the ship against the Blue Jays at the dangerous Rogers Centre next Wednesday.

Odorizzi (0-1) allowed two runs on five hits, struck out four and walked one in a no-decision against the Angels on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
He retired 12 of the first 14 hitters in the game. The Angels scored their two runs against Odorizzi in the fifth, but the Rays tied the score in the top of the sixth. Since allowing five runs against the Red Sox on April 21, Odorizzi has yielded four runs in the last 18 innings, yet he hasn't received a decision since April 10. He will try to win his first game of the year Friday against the Athletics.

Odorizzi allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out six over seven innings, but received no decision Sunday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi gave up a solo homer to Josh Donaldson and left the game with a 1-1 tie in a game the Rays would go on to lose. He's now held opponents to one or fewer earned runs in three of his last four starts to lower his ERA to 3.12. He'll make his next start Saturday at the Angels.

Odorizzi allowed one run on seven hits and one walk while striking out one batter over five innings against the Orioles on Wednesday. He did not factor in the decision in the Rays' 3-1 win.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was aiming to be more efficient in his fifth start of the season, but he labored out of the gate, needing 43 pitches to get through the first two innings. With the one strikeout, Odorizzi now has 14 strikeouts combined in his last four starts after fanning 10 against the Blue Jays in his 2016 debut. On a positive note, he's not walking many batters at all. His FIP was more than a full run below his ERA entering Tuesday's game.

Odorizzi will aim to keep his pitch count down in Tuesday's start, Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi, who'll face off against the Orioles on Tuesday night, has had trouble with efficiency in three of his four starts this season. He was over 100 pitches in his first two trips to the mound of 2016 despite not pitching past the sixth inning in either. He then threw 97 pitches in just four innings versus the Red Sox in his last start on April 21, surrendering five earned runs in a 37-pitch opening frame. Despite the struggles, Odorizzi feels that a smoother performance in the early innings will go a long way towards improvement. "I think if I can get through the first couple of innings with a lower pitch count, I think that's really just gonna catapult me throughout the rest of the season and get things going on the right track."

Odorizzi (0-1) pitched four innings, allowing five runs, eight hits and one walk while striking out three against the Red Sox on Thursday. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Luckily for Odorizzi, his counterpart, David Price, put on an even worse performance than he did. Thursday's game marks the first time this season (four starts) that the right-hander did not make it into the sixth inning. Through 22.2 innings, Odorizzi sports a 3.97 ERA with an attractive 23:4 K:BB. It won't get any easier for the 26-year-old as he takes the hill next against the Orioles, who knocked him around pretty good early this month.

Odorizzi did not factor into the decision while throwing seven innings of four-hit, scoreless ball in Friday's 1-0 loss to the White Sox. He gave up a walk and struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old right-hander ran into some tough luck Friday, as his teammates were thoroughly stymied by Chris Sale for nine innings. Odorizzi encouragingly increased his inning-count for the second straight game, while throwing the least amount of pitches (94) of his first three starts. The outlook doesn't look much brighter for Odorizzi in his next start, which is scheduled to come next Thursday versus David Price and the Red Sox in Fenway Park.
