Odorizzi (6-4) allowed one run on just one hit and two walks over seven innings in Monday's win over the Athletics. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
In what was his best performance of the season, Odorizzi's sole mistake came on a fourth inning home run by Khris Davis. It was an encouraging bounce-back performance by the 27-year-old, who had given up seven runs over 4.1 innings last time out against the Red Sox. The veteran hurler will look replicate his success during his upcoming scheduled start Sunday against the Rangers.

Osorizzi (5-4) coughed up seven runs on eight hits and three walks over 4.1 innings in Friday's 8-3 loss to the Red Sox. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander remains mired in a rut, allowing at least three runs in seven straight starts with a 6.69 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, 31:16 K:BB and 2.8 HR/9 in 35 innings over that stretch. Odorizzi will take a 4.63 ERA into the second half, with his next start coming next Friday on the road against the Angels.

Odorizzi (5-3) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings to earn the win Saturday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi was provided 10 runs of support and easily cruised to a victory while burning through 111 pitches in just five innings. He's given up exactly three earned runs in five of his last six outings, and his 4.08 ERA make him a somewhat consistent, if unspectacular fantasy option. He'll make his next start Friday against the Red Sox.

Odorizzi was dealing with food poisoning in the days leading up to his most recent start Sunday against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off one of his worst starts of the season when he gave up four runs in 5.1 innings, we now know the pitcher was on IVs in the days before that outing. The Rays' starter appears to have recovered from the illness and fantasy owners should expect to see his future starts closer to the 3.78 ERA he had prior to the poor showing we saw from him Sunday.

Odorizzi allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five batters through 5.1 innings during Sunday's loss to Baltimore. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The long ball did Odorizzi in again Sunday, and he's now allowed eight homers through his past five starts and sports a worrisome 2.1 HR/9 for the year. His 4.00 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 7.8 K/9 have him on the fantasy radar, but it also isn't out of the question to be selective with his opponents going forward. Odorizzi projects to face Baltimore again in his next start.

Odorizzi allowed three runs on five hits and three walks across seven innings in a no-decision Monday against the Reds. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi comfortably cruised through the first four innings, but a solo home run by Scott Schebler in the fifth inning and a two-run shot from Scooter Gennett in the sixth left him behind on the scoreboard when he departed after the seventh. While he was bailed out by the offense, the right-hander could've easily attained a better result as he tried to bounce back from some recent struggles. That said, Odorizzi still delivered his second quality start in the last three outings and holds a respectable 3.78 ERA for the season. A partial contributor to his middling statistics this season is home run frequency -- he has allowed at least one long ball in 10 straight starts -- and he will look to keep the ball in the yard Saturday against the Orioles.

Odorizzi (4-3) gave up five runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out four over 4.1 innings but escaped with a no-decision in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
He threw only 55 of 99 pitches for strikes en route to issuing at least three free passes for the fourth time in his last five starts. Odorizzi's 3.77 ERA and 1.23 WHIP are right in line with his career numbers, but his 5.22 FIP suggests there could be more tough times ahead for the 27-year-old. He'll next take the mound Monday at home against the Reds.

Odorizzi will make his next start Wednesday against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was initially tabbed for Tuesday's contest, but with Jacob Faria getting called up to replace Matt Andriese (groin/hip) in the rotation, they'll bump Odorizzi back a day to accommodate the pitching prospect's arrival. This lines Odorizzi up to face southpaw Francisco Liriano in the finale, but most importantly, it likely takes him out of contention for a two-start week, although he could pick up a pair of starts next week as a result.

Odorizzi (4-3) pitched 6.2 innings of three-run ball, striking out eight and walking one, Thursday against the White Sox in a 7-5 win.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi had pitched five scoreless before A. Garcia's three-run blast in the sixth forced his exit. The right-hander had gone six innings or deeper in four consecutive starts in May before allowing five runs over his next to starts, which spanned a combined eight innings. Therefore, Thursday's performance was a positive sign for the 27-year-old.

Odorizzi (3-3) gave up eight runs (three earned) on four hits and three walks over 2.1 innings while striking out two in Friday's 12-4 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
A first-inning error by Brad Miller kept most of the damage off Odorizzi's ledger, but this was still far from a strong effort. The right-hander has now served up at least one homer in seven straight starts, leading a to a career-worst 1.9 HR/9, and his 3.53 ERA looks to be on shaky ground next to his 5.38 FIP and 4.49 xFIP. He's in a good spot to rebound in his next start, however, at home against a White Sox squad that ranks 29th in wOBA against right-handed pitchers (.291).
