Lamb is not starting Monday against the Giants, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb is struggling in August, slashing just .137/.267/.255 through 22 games, so he'll head to the bench for the second time in three games even with a right-hander in Tyler Beede starting for the opposition. Eduardo Escobar is covering the hot corner in his place Monday, with Wilmer Flores starting at the keystone.

Lamb was held out of the starting lineup against a right-hander Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb has been a lineup regular against right-handed starters, so having him sit against Chase Anderson was a mild surprise. However, given his batting average -- Lamb is hitting .146 in the month of August -- Lamb sitting against any pitcher is not much a surprise.

Lamb is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
With a lefty (Madison Bumgarner) on the mound, Lamb will take a seat after starting five of the past six games. Lamb is slashing just .176/.317/.353 in August and may begin lose work to Josh Rojas over the final few weeks of the season.

Lamb went 1-for-3 in Saturday's 11-6 loss to the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb is having a rough go of it at the plate this month, batting just .176 (6-for-34) over 15 games and seeing his average fall to .220. His slumping bat makes him a candidate to be removed from games, as he was Saturday, when manager Torey Lovullo makes a double switch.

Lamb went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Monday's win over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb bopped the first of Arizona's three home runs in the sixth inning when the Diamondbacks took a lead they would not relinquish. It was just the fifth homer for the corner infielder, who missed a good chunk of the season due to a quadriceps injury. He's slumped over the last two weeks, batting just .167 (5-for-30) over the last 14 games. Lamb has remained a regular in the lineup against right-handers, though he may be squeezed out more frequently in the weeks to come following the promotion of Josh Rojas.

Lamb went 1-for-4 with a walk, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 18-7 rout of the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
His fifth-inning shot was the last of three the D-backs hit off Stephen Strasburg on the night. Lamb is starting to show signs of life at the plate, slashing .269/.333/.615 over the last 10 games with two of his four homers on the year.

Lamb is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Unsurprisingly, the lefty-hitting Lamb will take a seat with the Marlins deploying a southpaw starting pitcher (Caleb Smith) for the series finale. Christian Walker (elbow) will check back in at first base for the Diamondbacks while Eduardo Escobar logs the start at the hot corner.

Lamb started at first base and went 0-for-3 in Sunday's loss to the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb filled in for the injured Christian Walker, who was hit by two pitches Saturday including one that caused swelling in his left elbow. Lamb will continue to fill in at first base, though Walker doesn't think the injury is anything more serious than a contusion, per Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic.

Lamb went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and a second run scored in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb continues to be the primary third basemen against right-handed starters. There was some thought that David Peralta's return to the outfield might impact Lamb's playing time, but that has not happened in the two games Peralta has played since coming off the injured list. Lamb has hit safely in four straight games and is batting .242 (15-for-62) with nine extra-base hits (.500 slugging) in the 22 games since his return from the IL due to a quadriceps.

Lamb is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
With lefty John Means on the bump, Lamb will head to the bench after drawing three consecutive starts. The Diamondbacks have created room in the lineup for Lamb lately by shifting Eduardo Escobar off the hot corner to second base and Ketel Marte to center field, but the 28-year-old could see his role get downsized in the near future. David Peralta was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Wednesday and should take back an everyday role in the outfield beginning Friday, which may result in Marte and Escobar seeing most of the action at second and third base, respectively.
