Irvin (10-14) took the loss Sunday against the Phillies, allowing six earned runs on five hits and three walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Irvin stumbled out of the gates, allowing the bases to be loaded with zero out in the opening frame. He managed to limit the damage to two runs by inducing a pair of fielders choices, but Irvin ran into trouble again in the fifth inning. The right-hander loaded the bases with zero out, allowing a pair of runs to score on a Kyle Schwarber single and later a Weston Wilson double, giving the Phillies a 6-1 advantage. The 27-year-old Irvin finishes his second professional campaign with a respectable 4.41 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 156:52 K:BB in 187.2 innings (33 starts). Irvin will look to improve his consistency next season after he limped to the finish line in 2024, pitching to a 5.90 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 57:23 K:BB in 71.2 post All-Star break innings.

Irvin (10-13) allowed five runs on four hits and four walks while striking out three over four innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Irvin yielded three home runs, which accounted for four of the five runs he surrendered. He's struggled with the Cubs both times he's faced them this year, allowing 12 runs over 8.2 innings in those starts. Irvin is now at a 4.22 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 153:49 K:BB across 183.1 innings through 32 starts. His last start of the season is projected to be at home versus the Phillies.

Irvin came away with a no-decision in Monday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Mets, allowing one run on four hits and a walk through 7.1 innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The righty put together his second straight quality start and 16th of the season on 94 pitches (65 strikes), and Irvin took a shutout into the eighth inning before New York finally broke through. Irvin has had a bumpy finish to the campaign, giving up at least four runs in five of nine outings since the beginning of August while posting a 5.65 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 39:15 K:BB through 51 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which lines up to come on the road this weekend against the Cubs.

Irvin (10-12) earned the win over Atlanta on Wednesday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while striking out five batters over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Irvin retired the first 10 batters he faced and was working on a no-hitter until Atlanta finally got to him for consecutive doubles in the sixth inning. The right-hander emerged with his first quality start since Aug. 13, which was also the date of his most recent win prior to Wednesday. Irvin had been struggling prior to this excellent outing, as he had surrendered 13 runs across 9.2 frames in his previous two starts. He's fallen off in the second half after a strong beginning to the campaign, but he still has 10 wins and a tolerable 4.19 ERA overall.

Irvin (9-12) was saddled with the loss Thursday, allowing six runs on seven hits and three walks over five innings against the Pirates. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Irvin was staked to an early three-run lead but gave up a five spot in the second as he allowed three walks and four singles as the Pirates sent 10 men to the plate. It was the second-consecutive outing Irvin allowed 10 batters to reach base while allowing 13 runs over 9.2 innings during his last two starts, raising his ERA nearly a half run from 3.80 to 4.28. Irvin will look to pull things back together during his next start, currently slated to take place in a home matchup against Atlanta.

Irvin (9-11) yielded seven runs on eight hits and two walks over 4.2 innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Irvin fell apart in the second inning, coughing up all seven runs in the disastrous frame. It was capped off by Cody Bellinger's two-run blast. Irvin gave up five or more runs just once in his first 18 starts but has done so four times in his last 10 appearances. During that 10-start stretch, he's registered a 6.55 ERA, driving his season ERA up to 4.08 through 161 innings. Irvin's next outing is projected to be in Pittsburgh.

Irvin did not factor into the decision in Saturday's loss to Atlanta, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks over 5.1 innings while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Irvin allowed the leadoff man to reach in each of the first two innings to open the contest but managed to escape without allowing any damage on both occasions. However, the lack of command would catch up with the right-hander as he went on to surrender a solo shot to Orlando Arcia on a hanging slider in the fifth before then giving up back-to-back hits to open the sixth. Irvin was then relieved by Robert Garcia with no outs in the frame, who would also proceed to allow back-tb-back hits. The 27-year-old has given up multiple runs in nine consecutive starts, going 2-4 over that stretch while posting a 5.92 ERA. Irvin has also served up at least one long ball in four consecutive outings.

Irvin came away with a no-decision in Sunday's win against the Phillies, allowing four earned runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five in six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Irvin was not at his best Sunday, allowing eight hits and matching his season-worst with three home runs allowed. Luckily for Irvin, all three long balls were solo shots, limiting the damage against a potent Phillies lineup. The 27-year-old's performance has slipped since the All-Star break -- Irvin owns a 4.89 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB with 10 home runs allowed in 35 innings since the intermission. Irvin will look to right the ship in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend in Atlanta.

Irvin (9-10) earned the win against the Orioles on Tuesday, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk with three strikeouts over six innings
EDGE Analysis
Irvin allowed two runs over his first three innings but rebounded with three scoreless frames to earn his second quality start in five chances since the All-Star break. It was an encouraging effort after the righty surrendered nine earned runs over his previous two outings, but he did allow his 11th homer since the calendar flipped to July. On the season, the 27-year-old owns a 3.72 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 122:34 K:BB across 145 innings and lines up to face the Phillies this weekend.

Irvin (8-10) took the loss Wednesday, surrendering five runs on eight hits -- including three home runs -- and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Mike Yastrzemski popped a solo shot off the right-hander in the fourth inning before Heliot Ramos and Matt Chapman both took him deep in the fifth. Issues keeping the ball in the yard are nothing new for Irvin -- he's been tagged for multiple homers in four of his last six trips to the mound, and over that stretch he's seen his ERA on the season rise from 2.80 to 3.76. Irvin could have a tough time turning things around in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road early next week in Baltimore.
